The problem with the internet is parallel to its greatest achievement: it has given the little man an outlet where he can be heard. Most of the time however, the little man is a little man because he is not worth hearing.

    Ted.

My name is of German origin, even though I am Danish. It is a newer, priorly uncommon name in Denmark, but it recently became much more frequent, and now every other baby has the name. It is a popular name for ships, I have noticed.

My name was widely popular (especially in europe) during the 16th century.

It was used by a lot of people with higher social standing.

I also have no idea why my parents named me the way they did, since we're not religious the least bit.

final tip (click if i made it too hard... it shouldn't be, though :P): I find a derivate of my name being used in a general exclamation ofexasperation/unbelieveablity
    Peter, " for Pete's sake!"
