In game marriage is one of the things I've thought about too. I can understand why ANet wouldn't want that to be a feature, but I certainly think it would be a cool feature.

This was one of many ideas I had today. I remember back in Rift when they patched so you were able you marry other players and you got a ring with its name on it I believe and it was pretty fun when you invited the whole guild to witness it.
What if this was put in GW2 as well? Maybe some status text, ring and what about a buff like '' gain X amount of stats if you are no more than range: 2000 away from your partner. Wouldn't that be fun or am I just stupid? No I have never RPed in any mpprog.

GM/Seer sponsored in game marriage has been around since Ultima Online in 1997. Except those marriage ceremonies had more brutality in them.

Combination of both of these. But I hope they actually let you have a wedding like in Rift. Not some whatever NPC that just pops up a banner on screen. Super lame.

I'd like to have the ceremony, dress, flowers and party/reception.
