Pend and the others implied that overlarge active threads actually do cause the whole site to go wonky. Once they are closed and archived, they behave better.

Just once I'd like to point the sights at an enemy's head and NOT watch the bullets shoot an outline of it rather than splattering gray matter all over the wall.

If it's an auto weapon, try aiming at their upper chest area and letting the recoil pull it up to their head too.
