I really don't think the V is appropriate in this situation

That would be
5 kittens
1 dog
3 snakes
a handful of spiders
a mouthful of crickets
1½ chickens
3/4th of a butterfly
Alright, thanks.

The V means peace, and if you nuke the world, no one in their right mind would nuke each other for any war intended purpose. They'd nuke each other because they can!
New subject!
Vectorisizing!
Do you make the outlines and body color separate vector thingies or all in one?
Separate! I just do the outline first, make that a layer, and just quickly click a lot of waypoints inside the outline to make the coloring layer. I don't trust Photoshop in filling the colors, so I do it this way to make sure no pixel is left uncolored.
