Please Help

I got a decent custom computer last year and it worked fine for what I wanted. 70 average fps in 5 man heroics and great in bgs. Since MoP, the lag has been unbearable. I was thinking about upgrading my video card with a GeForce GT 430 and was wondering if that will fix the lag within 5 mans and raids. I just want a pc that will run on low-med setting smoothly through raids and heroics. Here are my currents specs:

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 550 Processor 3.10 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 210

Any suggestions to help me out before raid time this upcoming weekend would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I would say adding some memory (up to 6-8GB) and upgrading VGA should do here.
