Mogu'shan Vaults has opened, how is ret dps?

I'm a EU-player so I haven't had the possibility to try it out myself, but for you US-players hows ret dps?
During all of Cataclysm I was reading the logs at World of Logs at a weekly basic and I was a regular visitor of http://raidbots.com/dpsbot/ and during almost all of the last expansion ret was bottom 3, often last or second to last among the 10 classes.

The first numbers from Mogu'shan Vaults has started to turn up at World of Logs now and I'm starting to get really worried that history will repeat it self. I understand that the numbers are very early and things will most likely change around a lot in the next couple of weeks, but for does of you who have stepped into the raid, what's your thought about the numbers below and the current state of ret dps?

This is the highest ranked classdps right now from the two encounters that have numbers on World of Logs right now:
    Feng The Accursed
    1. Hunter (BM) - 64193 dps
    2. DK (blood) - 63444 dps
    3. Druid (cat) - 62682 dps
    4. Shamy (ele) - 62318 dps
    5. Rogue (assa) - 59943 dps
    6. Mage (frost) - 59874 dps
    7. Warlock (affli) - 59275 dps
    8. Warrior (Fury) - 58301 dps
    9. Priest - 57138 dps
    10. Pally - 54607 dps
    11. Monk - 52756 dps

    Gara'jal the Spiritbinder
    1. Druid (cat) - 70288 dps
    2. Warlock (dest) - 66697 dps
    3. DK (frost) - 64485 dps
    4. Shamy (enha) - 63476 dps
    5. Rogue (assa) - 62552 dps
    6. Hunter (BM) - 61959 dps
    7. Warrior (Fury) - 61811 dps
    8. Priest - 61770 dps
    9. Mage (fire) - 60734 dps
    10. Monk - 59906 dps

The numbers from one more boss is in now, The Stone Guard. A lot of tanks is ranking high on this fight so I'm skipping them, only taking numbers from dpsspecs:

    2. Mage (fire) - 85225 dps
    3. Warrior (arms) - 81546 dps
    4. Druid (balance) - 78468 dps
    5. DK (frost) - 73338 dps'
    6. Shamy (ele) - 73290 dps
    7. Warlock (affli) - 69534 dps
    8. Paladin - 66759 dps
    9. Priest - 66214 dps
    10. Hunter (survival) - 63664 dps
    11. Monk - 56675 dps

Tanks will top the meters on pretty much every fight so it really skews the reports and on top of that they all just got damage buffs.

If you had spent a sec to read the rest of the replies you would have seen the reason of his comment.

i'm hoping its more that blizz is deliberately under tuning them because they learned from the mistakes they made with death knights.

    Monks may be undergeared?
I am assuming it took a huge chunk of the past 2 weeks to level from 1-90...or did I miss something?

Most of the monks that are 90 were probably RAFed to 80 right away, so they should be in about the same place gear-wise as everyone else.

I just went to Mogu'shan Vault raid yesterday and killed the first 4 bosses..well as usual we have awesome crazy burst but weak sustien dmg compare to other dpsers. For example, at the boss Gara'jal the Spiritbinder I manage to burst using my full cds to 155k+ but at the end of the fight when he died I was not above 57k dps. So yeah we are not as bad as the start of Cata tier 11 content but we are not that great either. Maybe in normal mode it doesn't matter much but in heroics progress the picture will be more clear.

Now are the numbers up for all the fights and things is starting to look a bit scary.

The Stone Guard - class with highest dps: 107.774 dps, highest ret: 67.238 dps = 40.536 dps behind
Feng The Accursed - class with highest dps: 69.874 dps, highest ret: 59.734 dps = 10.140 dps behind
Gara'jal the Spiritbinder - class with highest dps: 77.242 dps, highest ret: 65.260 dps = 11.982 dps behind
The Spirit Kings - class with highest dps: 67.200 dps, highest ret: 61.273 dps = 5.927 dps behind
Elegon - class with highest dps: 135.899 dps, highest ret: 101.727 dps = 34.172 dps behind
Will of the Emperor - class with highest dps: 75.437 dps, highest ret: there are no ret who has killed this boss on World of Logs right now.

This is still very early numbers and only the highest dps of each class is counted so you shouldn't read to much into does numbers, but still I find it kind of scary and am getting some serious flashbacks from tier 11 when I see that on average the highest ranked ret (only first 5 bosses counted) is 20.551,4 dps behind the highest ranked dps.

Don't trust doest numbers to much do, I'm hoping that things will look better when we get some better ranks, like the average of top 200 of each class and raidbots.coms ranks up and running.

Any more feedback from inside the raids, like the one Velshin posted?

and where are we compared to the rest of the DPS? if we're solidly middle of the pack, we're worth bringing.

    8. DK (frost) – 65501 dps
    9. Paladin – 65260 dps

    7. Shaman (enha) – 102521 dps
    8. Paladin – 101727 dps
    9. Rogue (assa) – 99217 dps
    10. DK (frost) – 97997 dps
    11. Monk – 92613 dps
Skillnad mellan bästa och sämsta class: 43286 dps

    Will of the Emperor
    1. Warlock – 76168 dps
    2. Priest – 75437 dps
    3. Mage (fire) – 62586 dps

    8. Hunter (bm) – 53734 dps
    9. DK (frost) – 48548 dps
    10. Rogue (combat) – 48208 dps
    11. Paladin – no pally dps recorded on this fight, looks like the quickest progressing guilds all have chosen other classes then pallys.

If you make a rank by adding up the rank from each fight (lower is better) you get this list:
    1. Mage - 19
    2. Warlock – 23
    3. Druid – 23
    4. Warrior – 31
    5. Hunter – 35
    6. Priest – 36
    7. DK – 37
    8. Shaman – 42
    9. Rogue – 43
    10. Paladin – 52
    11. Monk – 55

So right now Paladin is the second worst class and the gap to the better classes is huge!

But as I have written before, the numbers is still based on a very low number of logs so you shouldn't take it as facts and we still don't know what effect different gearscaling and setbonuses will have on the rank when the epic raiding gear starts rolling in. We will have a lot better stats in a month or two when people are epic-geared and sites like raidbots will have stats based on the average value of the 200 best from each class.

This isn't really a good way to evaluate DPS. You need to click on More... and then select each spec. Compare DPS from spots 30-40 for each spec. This will give you a much more accurate picture.

Stone Guard is a cleave/multiDoT fight. you'll notice that every class before us is either excellent at cleaving (combat rogues, fire mages, fury warriors, frost DK's, elemental shamans) or multidotting (affliction locks, shadowpriests, balance druids).

Elegon similarly has mechanics that scale better with other classes.

all other fights have a less than 10K difference, which can be explained through other means, like gear, RNG (both positive and negative) and slight biases towards other specs.
