There's a few different schools of thought being used, but you shouldn't just go by some top tank's armory on what to do. He may have logged out in a setup that is specific to a certain boss. There's a good guide stickied here and another good one on tankspot.com, and elitistjerks is beginning to have a great guide as well.

Honestly I wouldn't stress on it too much. Tanking revolves a fair bit around preferences and what suits your style, more so than anything else. You will never truly know if you would have survived if you reforged/gem differently, so there's no use worrying about it.

Iv got my own set up with my healers, its a hodgepodge of stuff till i get better gear and can buy better gems to cut and stuff, but I still like to see what the cutting edge is doing.

The only thing that really stands out about your armory is the ridiculous amount of dodge. The DR is so steep I'd consider changing some reforges to get away from so much dodge. There's almost double the amount of dodge rating than parry, and you still have 1% less parry.

There is a nice phrase ono my language that goes "La verdad es la verdad, dígala Agamenón o su porquero".

You should follow reasons, not persons. There are plenty of those here (this one is a bit old) and in other threads, do the things because you understand what and why you are doing it, not because someone else did.
