I've been doing this on an affliction warlock and shadow priest for the last few weeks. I have 2 questions, do the different versions of firelands have separate lockouts? Also, if they do have separate lockouts, how much harder is 10 man heroic and 25 normal because i'm already cutting it pretty close as is on 10 man normal.

Same lockout. All variations of the fight (10/25/10H/25H) have an equal chance of dropping the mount. If you're already cutting it close on 10N, it's doubtful that you will be able to kill it on 25N let alone heroic, similar with 10H.

Finally, did a 6/7 hc run and got exactly the number of souls I needed for the staff

I'm NEVER EVER setting foot in this instance again ^^
