Here's an inspiring video for boomkins that want to go up against Elegon:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukcKVdS6eFU

He seems be be doing 89k DPS, so might be that a bunch of us will learn something from this

Moonkin dps is fine, if you know what ur doing u should be able to compete with all other classes.

So I've been reading this threads and getting a little bit worried. I haven't been able to do vaults with my guild yet but I managed to pug it with these results:

    Armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...ffkin/advanced

No logs since I was pugging, but this is the dps I did on stone guard and feng, which I am very happy with (pretty competitive with the highest ranks on logs)

Stone guardians: http://i.imgur.com/SbMVK.jpg ( 8 minute fight because we we're reduced to 4 healing.... sobad )

    Feng: http://i.imgur.com/upNIi.jpg ( SLOPPY as hell )

TLDR, I think boomy will do fine

    "Our moonkin is doing great."

Cool for you guys. On logs moonkins aren't competitive though. Moonkin always had bad single-target DPS, but this expansion we lost our niché as well, burst aoe and multidotting.

So because you've had more luck than most other players out there with regrads to drops you think we're fine? Nah not really.

So you think having a few higher ilvl is the only reason I did well on the dmg meter on those 2 pug kills? People who can actually play the class WILL pull decent numbers and what I linked was proof... PUG PROOF.. simple as that.

Well, if some is good a lot is better, right? I agree. I've sen horrible Boomkins, then I've seen good Boomkins. Good boomkins do appropriate damage, IMO. But then again, I personally think that druids should be toward the bottom of the ladder of DPS (while staying acceptable) because of having the ability to switch between any role in the game. But that's just my opinion.

Uhm. Affliction Warlocks aren't having trouble for DPS at all. On my warlock I can burst to approx. 120K with Heroism/Dark Soul/Doomguard and sustain upwards of 70K on single target, low movement fights. On average, I'd say I finish around 67-69K. If it's low movement, way more.

    (Armory http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...r/Femto/simple)

Multi-dotting seems to be a dying thing for us as well. Our true damage now comes from Malefic Grasp (each time it ticks, it makes our dots tick for 75% of their damage.) We have the ability to apply 12 dots in 4 globals now and I can't keep up on AoE pulls with many classes. Where we're excelling at single target, our AoE is a bit subpar (until you switch to Deomology, in which case it is insane, especially at burst.)

You won't pull more DPS than the upper bound enforced by something called maths, regardless of how much skill you may have. Also, if you need iLvL 474 to keep up with <iLvL463 other classes, there's something seriously wrong, not to mention that you're certainly undervaluing the effect of ~1.5k spellpower, ~2.5% spellcrit and ~5% spellhaste, i.e. a breakpoint on the DPS over a iLvL 463 Boomkin.

No body likes it when it's their tier to be on the lower end of simcraft. If it is such a big deal that you always land top 5 dps than re roll the best class every tier. Balance is significantly lower than the top dps classes like you are saying, this is undisputed. However, I feel it is being exaggerated a bit... it's not like we're a dead spec like frost mage always used to be.

I don't have any problems. BOOMKIN DPS IS FINE.
