Healing Trinket Stat Weights

I thought that we were always looking for more haste, seeing as how the faster that we can heal with our big heals the more effective we'll be. Especially on fights like Gara'jal where the damage is unavoidable and bypasses shields and such. Guess i was wrong...

That was more the case and way of thinking in Cata. MoP has seen a big move toward mastery instead. Even in starting gear I'm throwing out a 25% shield for every heal I do, only to get bigger as gear progresses. You'll note Illuminated Healing accounts for a much higher % of healing than it did last expansion prior to 5.0.

Does the Alchemist stone factor in the potion gains. It just seems hard for my brain to wrap around that its better than PoP. Imma give it a go tho.

Im currently using Vial of ichorous blood and the Year pickled egg, but what combo would be better for a paladin healer?

I would go with Qin-xi's and Vial of Ichorous Blood simply because even one int proc trinket is not good for healer in my eyes and two would be really bad. In the first page Empty Fruit barrel is ahead in terms of stats compared to Vial but I still wouldn' t take it. Basically Year pickled egg is worst of those due to not having spirit and instead having haste which makes you oom faster.

The alchemist trinket should work out to be a little weaker than Fruit Barrel. The mastery can be forged off to spirit, and then you're left with an intellect proc. The downside to the Alchemist Stone is that the potion effect is only good once per fight compared to any other regen proc trinket that will continue to work no matter how long the fight lasts. Since the mana potion is good for 30k mana, the alchemist stone adds 12k mana to that, or about 2.5 procs of Price. So on any fight longer than 2 minutes, the alchemist stone is significantly worse than almost any other healing trinket at similar item level.
