What are you guys doing to solo Rage Winterchill as ret? I got him down to about 30%, but at some point he just spams icebolt constantly enough that I can't get out of DnD in time (after using bubble and lay on hands to cheat through the first couple of times he did it).

Keep sacred shield up. Don't forget to use emancipate when he novas you - otherwise it's deadly when he follows up with Death and Decay. Make sure to kite him near Jaina - she does some decent damage to him. I prefer to blow all my CDs at the start, before he does his decay (or iceblock), but if you have trouble surviving, Execution Sentence is a good self heal tool. I have never gotten unlucky enough to keep getting iceblock -> DnD, so hopefully that isn't your issue. If it's nova, remember you can emancipate.
But I'm only 87 right now, so I guess I'll finish leveling and try again.
I'd like to add that with the exception of Kalecgos, i've now successfully managed to solo all of Sunwell as Retribution. Twins were difficult the first week as ret, but after getting 5 items from LFR over 2 weeks, they weren't all that bad. The conflag is annoying, but once the first twin is down, the second is more about controlling healing. Sulfuron slammers remove the healing debuff that she applies, which makes it much easier. Hell, without it, i'd personally say it'd be impossible.
M'uru is easy, just a standard burn. I managed to get him down to 750K during P1 before the adds spawned. Admittedly one of the easiest bosses in the entire instance, with Felmyst in a close second.
KJ is easy, just takes some time as he's got 11M HP. There's really nothing you need to watch out for, just make sure you're using WoG when needed, along with Selfless Healer procs. Sacred shield might be a good choice, but with the changes being made to EF in 5.2, that's likely to bring it ahead. I got lucky in that he dropped Apolyon. Hey, nothing says awesome like having the PVE equivalent that uses the lighter PVE skin as opposed to the easier darker PVP skinned s4 weapon. That's not to say the S4 one looks worse, but simply that Apolyon perfectly matches the Sunwell Transmog i'm using more than the S4 one does. Too bad there's only 3 available 2H swords in Cataclysm heroics, and 1 of them is an epic and thus a very rare drop. Having to use Hammer of the Naruu transmog right now.
I wouldn't have been able to manage to clear SWP as prot. Our defenses against CC is terrible, and the vengeance we gain is pitiful. I'd much rather have 25K unbuffed AP, 3 stackable DPS cooldowns + 1 short renewable DPS cooldown and deal with the often intensive healing, rather than having low DPS output, great survivability, but not being able to do anything to avoid CC's. You're not gonna burst those mobs down before they put at least 3 rounds of CC on you as prot, and so ret shortens the fight by leaps and bounds and so they generally only get 1 chance to CC you (this applies to both Eredar Twins and Kael's advisers).
I did also finally manage to clear all of BT as ret thanks to the extra gear. Council was a little crazy towards the end, but i managed it, and the other bosses proved to be pushovers. RoS became a little awkward as the damage reflection in P2 almost finished me off. Balancing healing with interrupts and pumping out the DPS is quite a fun challenge, but it's not difficult. Saving all DPS cooldowns until this phase is great provided you're willing to heal yourself when needed. Illidan, as usual, failed to drop my shield. I suppose shitting out a wall of spikes would be something i'd never want to repeat either, especially when you consider that the leather blindfold helm would also serve well as toilet roll when you pass that out.
I also managed the first 3 in ICC10. Deathwhisper was difficult at first as her bolts still hit rather heavily, but it's more about healing as much as you can than trying to burst her down during P2. Gunship is easy since the change. I can't even get close to killing Saurfang though. As ret he heals for more than i can DPS, and as Prot, i lack the DPS to kill him, even if i managed to get his health lower than i did as ret. I did try to use the terracotta guardian to tank while i DPS'ed, but he dies after around 40 seconds.
All of BWL is easy and i almost managed to kill the second boss before he popped the debuff on me (350K health remaining and my cooldowns were still running so he was 2-3 hits from death).
I might try some Cataclysm raids at some point. I didn't raid until late in Firelands, and then stopped raiding in January after DS was released, so i'm not entirely sure of the tactics of bosses before then. Those bosses don't interest me much either so motivating myself to try them might take some time. If i knew they dropped some great transmog items i was interested in, i'd at least try, but it's the extra difficulty level that would really annoy me.

I know it has been done before so nothing new, but I'm looking for advice on which fights to goret and which for prot.
I'm currently done with plaque wing now heading to blood then frost.
It is on normal as I haven't killed 10m LK on this toon to unlock heroic.
I thought saurfang was going to be the hardest but he went down in 4min as prot w/45k dps. Using sot not even needing soi.
Any advice on the rest...I'm trying for meta achieves as I go as well.
I expect to go ret for blood queen wait till I get bit then pop all CDs and a potion and go to town.
Sindragosa kinda makes me wonder, how I am going to do it... Does battle healer work on sindragosa?

Not sindragosa,I mean valithria srry
Quick question - how difficult is BWL/razor and how long does a run normally take? Full clear and just first boss.
Naturally I just want the sword but a full judgment set wouldn't be a terrible thing to have either.

Hmm I'll run down there this afternoon. Anything special with BWL? I've read a little about razor, is the rest just overpowering it?

Should the rest be as prot?

Can anyone solo Thorim 10man? And if you can, what is your strat?
In addition, can anyone solo yogg +4 25man? And if you can, what is your strat?
Adding on to that, what other ulduar 25 bosses can you solo? Please mention if you're ret or prot (I'm doing them as ret).
Well I solod all of icc 10 except dreamwalker, had to get a healer to help. Solod everyone in uld 10m except thorim, general, and yogg. Did all of Togc 10 as well.
I want to try 25m and H10 but enrage timers seem to be hard with prot dps, even as haste build.
Edit- Ran it tonight, did FL+1(+2 is definitely possible, didnt try it), ignis and deconstructor. I tried out Auriaya but hit the enrage with 24% health. Someone with better gear should be able to do this. I have done all these as Ret.
Is it possible to solo vexaz as ret in 10 man? How about duo?
Have done Flame Leviathan, Ignis, Razorscale, XT, Kologarn and Freya in 25 as ret, though this was before the nerf to Seal of Insight. Not sure which ones are still doable. This was in around 485 gear.
Another question: I tried doing the Hour of Twilight 5-man heroics last night, and couldn't get past the tentacle trash before Benedictus. Anyone done that, and got tips?
