what are the basics of resto healing?

I used to play a disc healer in CATA, but I'm thinking of rerolling a Horde Pandaren Shaman. what is resto healing like? what are the basics?

use riptide on cd if not glyphed, keep earth shield on tank, chain heal off of a riptide'd person. for 5 mans i recommend riptide glyph and chaining. first few tips from top of my mind
