Quillen Rez : Is it Battle Rez or not?

I got one of these things, and I tried using its rez on a dead person mid fight and it wasn't working

So is it a nearly worthless out of combat only rez? Or maybe I just couldn't target the players corpse correctly when I was trying?

It's a battle rez, but your pet has to be able to reach the target in order to rez him. It was probably an issue of corpse positioning

Also, your target can't release or else it won't work.,

I thought there was only 1 battle rez allowed per boss fight. So if someone else died before and was battle ressed by someone else, none other will work for that pull.

That's 10 man only. I believe 25s allow 3, and 5 mans don't care.
