    Windows 7 - Taskbar Icons/Programs

    Basically, I want to click on an icon on my task bar and the program to open on the right of the icon rather than in the icon itself.
    It used to be like this in Windows XP and Windows Vista, but I cannot find a solution in Windows 7. (The cases are shown in the two pictures.) Is there a way to do this?

    Add shortcuts to quick launch bar just like in Xp, then delete pinned items from taskbar.

    That bottom photo of the taskbar looks like Vista's taskbar, not Windows 7. Am I reading it wrong? =S
