One of the worst classes in pvp.
The mistweaver is the strongest spec and what you do resto druids do it 10 times better

windwalkers are quite a bit under tuned. but i think its more due to clumsy mechanics then damage/utility tuning.

mistweavers can be very frustrating to kill.

They seem kinda annoying with the double roll skill all over my execute every time, but that could just be me not knowing their mechanics yet.

Free kill, only annoying thing is the roll away skill when you are trying to cast on them.

  5. #25
Maybe they just don't have enough experience yet, because I haven't had any real trouble yet with any monks, aside from them rolling around.

    annoying as another monk.. *sigh*

Im leveling my brewmaster now and i think hes pretty OP and fun to play with.

Windwalker is just.. maybe i suck at playing it.
    Blizzard about balance:
    PvP: Execute Melee/Needs Rage(issue) 30k noncrit : Shadowburn Ranged/mana(nonissue) 130k noncrit, can you explain?
-We try not to design abilities to be mirror images of each other.

I feel like Monks are a half finished class that is still in beta form. I've never played one, but they just look flat out silly.

At least DK's came in with a bang that even today people hold a grudge over the class. Oh the other hand, I hardly feel like Monks even exist as a class. I almost feel bad for the idiots who re rolled Monk because they were expecting them to be overtuned.

Sandor Clegane would have laughed at that, Sansa knew. Other men might have cursed her, warned her to keep silent, even begged for her forgiveness. Ser Meryn Trant did none of these. Ser Meryn Trant simply did not care.

Monks are not doing so well in PvP right now. I'm very surprised by nerfs and not buffs showing on the 5.1 patch notes..

And I wish the windwalker mastery would be changed to something cool

All healing classes can do that since the baseline 40% resilience at low levels, its not an issue directly related to monks.

I don't know how "op" they are but I will sure as hell continue playing my monk, mostly in PvP. If I get bored I will just switch to my old trustworthy enhancy.

I can see a pattern here. Sorry but when you switch from 0 to -1, you aren't that likely to get disappointed.

They are really good in the hands of a good player. Rerolling bads will make them look weak. Same thing as DKs in other seasons. The best monk spec is probably mistweaver tho. Great set of tools

Awesome, the best monk spec is a healer... Have fun in pvp dps monks.

We can glyph our CC so we have a range CC.
We have CD's, we have 20%more hp and 20% less dmg taken. We also have a talent choice to reduce Spell dmg, we can glyph our Zen meditation so that we can cast is take 90% reduced dmg (soaks 5 other ppls dmg) and still move (just not attack)
    Our FoF stuns

The only real thing we dont have in pvp is is breaking out of cc so well.

Personally people who know their class well they shouldnt have any problems playing in PVP

    PVE monks are rocking

I haven't ever lost to a monk in open world PvP as a Guard/Feral Dr00d.
Then again, the only time I died in open world, is if I get initiated with 1/4 hp left, attacked by a lv 90 or have used all my defensive CDs from piling a heap of mobs at once.

I wasn't much use in PvP BGs on my monk, so I've just avoided them.
WSG is fun though, being the flag carrier.
We stopped searching for monsters under our beds when we realized that they were inside us.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

windwalker is fine, people just don't know how to play it.

You have really high uptime with 3 rolls (or root/snare breaker) and improved version of hamstring

plus ranged root, serpent kick etc. It's really hard to keep distance on a monk who knows what he's doing.

What they lack is burst damage and burst damage rules pvp these days since healers can top off someone in 1-3 instant heals.

All they have is tigerseye brew (20% dmg buff) and the mini adrenaline rush every minute and it's just not enough to kill anything in a stun or whatever.
