    Post Gilneas Scenario

    THIS IS FAN CREATED

Gilneas has, for a long time been the source of much controversy between the Alliance and Horde. Alliance players think it was unfair that the Goblins received their own personalized zone, while the Horde believes that if the Alliance were to claim Gilneas, it would lead to nothing but constant world pvp between the two zones, making it so low level Undead could not be able to quest in a stable environment. So I propose a lore-filled, fun scenario compromise!

A new Scenario/group of small scenarios that lead to Gilneas to being able to be a functional zone/roleplay

    So hear me out.

Within these pictures I will try to explain the scenario and then the outcome. Please be aware there are Mists spoilers towards the end of this!

Each of the following will be separate scenarios, but all will be released at once. Each Scenario starts/ends with one of the pictures.

SCENARIO ONE GILNEAN DEFENSE (Starts at Picture 1 ends at Picture 2):
Both the Alliance and Horde members get quests, telling them to report to Genn Greymane or the Dark Lady immediately and that something has come up in Gilneas.

    Alliance-

Genn will tell Alliance members that Gilneas' mainland, which was held strongly by the 7th Legion (which is where the story for Gilneas left off within the questing) has been roughly attacked by the Horde. Now only one part of the city and Greymane Manor are held by the Alliance, while the rest has fallen to the Horde. You now are to report to Lord Darius Crowley who is doing his best to hold down fort in Gilneas, until the Alliance fleet can be redirected.
You travel via warship to Gilneas and help Darius and Ivar Bloodfang fight off the Horde through extreme battles.
It ends once you claim a second district in Gilneas City. Ivar and Darius (who seem to have gotten over their differences from the first combat, even though Ivar can still be seen looking at Darius like he was a fool at different times) tell you that this victory is won, and that you should rest and prepare for Genn to arrive, and soon enough the entire Alliance fleet!

    Horde-
Sylvanas tells Horde players that she now holds most of Gilneas' mainland, and that all she needs is a few of the Horde's strongest heroes to finalize her victory. She tells you to go to Gilneas and claim it in the name of the Forsaken (Horde...)
As you fight in the scenario, more and more of the NPCs supporting you begin to die, and slowly you find yourself going backwards in defense. Your directed to fight in the eastern part of Gilneas, while the main army hold the city. You stand defiant here and then your told that another district of Gilneas City was lost, but that you fought well and defended the east well enough, so that when the Dark Lady arrives, you will claim it easily. For the Forsaken! (Horde...)

SCENARIO TWO: WORGEN OFFENSIVE (Starts at picture 2, ends at picture 3):

Alliance and Horde get quests telling them to take portals to Gilneas.

Alliance- Genn has arrived in Gilneas and is located in Greymane Manor. He talks about how he missed this place and that his greatest hope, is that when the battle has died down, he can go and visit his son's grave. He tells you to take Gilneas City in the name of the Alliance with the help of Darius! The Alliance follows Darius and takes Gilneas City, with some hard work. In the distance you see a Forsaken Fleet, while Genn Arrives and tells you to recover quickly, and to prepare for battle yet again.

Horde- Sylvanas meets you on top of the Greymane wall, telling you how since her own army failed her in Gilneas City (above), she has decided to call in her entire fleet to take Gilneas. But until it can arrive she says she wants you to hold the Emberstone mine town in the north east. She tells you how those recourses will be important and will be used to create weapons to be used against the worgen. With constant attack you hold off the army and then Sylvanas arrives and tells you her fleet has arrived to retake the city and that you should be prepared to take down the Alliance and the Gilneans once and for all.

SCENARIO THREE: THE HIGH KING AND THE TRAITOR GARROSH (Starts at 3-parts at 4- ends at 5)

Alliance and Horde get quests telling them to take portals to Gilneas.

Horde- Sylvanas tells you how Garrosh refused to send in aid and is focused on his war in Pandaria. She tells you how she hates him, and even Thrall, the "savior of worlds" was better than Garrosh. You fight in a small battle while seeing Horde and Alliance ships shoot at each other. Soon you fight Ivar who is leading this attack and you kill him and bring Sylvanas his head. Sylvanas tells you to hold the wall, while she kills Genn and Varian both, and finishes the Alliance here once and for all.

Alliance- You meet Genn by Liam's grave. You feel for him here. He tells you a short story about Liam, and then tells you there is work to be done. He tells you that King Varian has arrived along with a 7th Legion Fleet to defend against the Forsaken fleet. Genn and Varian talk about the events of Wolfheat a little bit, and then you, Varian, and Genn fight against the Forsaken. Ivar has been said to be fighting elsewhere. Sylvanas arrives and shows Genn, Ivar's head. Genn declares that she will never take another Gilnean, ever again! He fights and get's the upper hand on her. Sylvanas falls back and claims she'll be back! Ivar's second in command of the Bloodfang is named the successor to that sect of worgen. This NPC was seen throughout the Scenarios with a certain scence of Humor and you think he's a cool guy. Gilneas is officially claimed by the Worgen, and Genn, and Genn kneels down to Varian as his High King.

    ____

Genn brings up at the end of the Alliance Scenario that the wall and all of Gilneas will be forever unsafe to the constant forsaken attacks. Jaina portals in with a few of the Kirin Tor and says they will enchant the wall so it can not be breached. Genn and Varian thank her tremendously and she (along with the people of Dalaran) enchant the wall and shut it once again so that Gilneas can be safe from the undead.

At the same time the Horde player is fighting at the wall when they start to see Gilneans falling back. They cheer in victory as Sylvanas and her Undead run suddenly are seen running back through the wall. She tells the player and her armies that Garrosh has betrayed them by not sending help, and that is why she has lost. She claims that Genn would have been crushed if not for Varian, and now the gate has been shut by that Proudmore mage girl. She says she will never give up on her assault on Gilneas, and that next time she will bring her secret weapon. (Koltira Deathweaver)
    ____

After this Scenario, Gilneas will have the wall up once again, and there will only be ships and portals available to it from the Alliance. The Horde will be able to get though but only using the ships in stormwind. They Greymane wall will prevent Alliance members from attacking the leveling Forsaken characters. The point of all this? Us Alliance players wanted to see Victory. We wanted to see Gilneas' beautiful story and architecture. As well as that, we got to see Varian get his Gilneas trial for High King, as well as Sylvanas' reasoning for hating Garrosh and wanting him removed as warchief. The battleground can continue as Sylvanas is still trying to get into Gilneas, just not using the wall, and only her navy. Which makes perfect sense (because you start as a member of the navy in the battleground) When in Gilneas after completing the Scenario, you will be able to see Gilean NPCs reclaiming their homes, and fixing their land. Seeing them return and Genn will return to his Manor, Darius will be the "mayor" of Gilneas City, etc. As well as having daily quests here: collecting recourses, securing the navy border (playing the battleground and winning), helping people resettle into their homes, etc.
And let's face it. This is much better than just letting that zone sit there currently empty right?

    Thanks for reading!
