    Doomguard question

Since the Doomguard does more damage when the target is below 20%, would it be more dps the pop this Cooldown at <20% on a raid boss whilest trying to pop it with as many proc's as possible? or before 20% lets say during the initial pull?

Best time is using it in conjunction with Timewarp. The below 20% thing seems nice, BUT you need to have an execute that actaully lasts for 48 seconds at least to get more benefit from popping it then.

That makes sense, thanks. In pure theory though if you did not have Timewarp or an equal raid CD, would the Doomguard then be better used below 20% boss health?

    three things increase Doomguard:
    1) Bloodlust
    2) Dark Soul
    3) execute

you ideally want to line up all three, but in general line up any two of the three.

Do you want to cast the doomguard at 20.1% hp or 19.9% hp? Same thing with Bloodlust, do you want to do it right before or just after it is cast?

it does not matter if you cast doomguard before or after bloodlust. Doomguard no longer snapshots your stats at the moment he is summoned. Instead his hit/crit/haste (and if demo, mastery) are always equal to your hit/crit/haste (and if demo, mastery). So if bloodlust makes your haste go up, Doomguard's haste will go up.

and as to the whole 20.1% versus 19.9% thing... seriously?

If you are using him in the execute range, you want him to cast his last shadowbolt before the boss dies.

If the boss is only going to last 45 seconds fro 20% -> 0% you should summon him 15 seconds before your raid hits 20%.

Time to Die is an addon that can help predict the time of the boss death, but will not give you a perfect time.
