    Did you break TOR?

I ran the launcher and it appears to be re-downloading the entire client...anyone else experiencing this?

I would suggest canceling that until they say the servers are back up.

In the game (EU english language client), it still says servers back at 1pm CEST; that's six and a half hours ago. On the forum, they celebrate "UPDATE 2:12PM CDT: The servers are now available! Thank you for your patience!" after giving useless updates twice. Their communication is amateurish at best.

The servers are still down btw.

Roger that, thanks. I was hoping not to suffer through that again -- I just recently re-subbed and had to run the launcher about 30 times (literally) to get the game to download as it would crap out with a network error 310. This happened on both my home and work computers. I found lots of posts about it but no solution. I got it downloaded and playable eventually but it was a real pain in the ass.

Personally I stopped paying attention to their official forum after it was discovered that they had zero mod coverage from like five in the evening to eight in the morning. The stuff we were posting to test it was, well, nasty. Should have been banned but shortly after eight the next morning, <shazam> those threads would just disappear.

Your best bet to actually get accurate updates will probably be twitter or facebook.

No ETA and no word on what happened to bjork things up during maintenance. I would HIGHLY recommend not trying to run the launcher/download the patch until after they get servers back up to prevent the possibility of an error that might result in you having to completely reinstall the game.

Not to cause trouble , but I guess they are too busy sifting through the responses on what people would rename the Fleets to give a meaningful response to you guys.

Oh for shame. (this post is for humor in an otherwise sad situation, hope the servers are back up soon!)

EA: "We tried to change the names of the fleet to the poll winner "org and sw" but we don't know how the game engine works because we fired the people who made it. So now its broken. It will be fixed at some point"

They were trying to add HK to TOR but accidentally turned TOR into HK instead? Right now its teaching the devs about the "random cruelty generator."

Running the launcher early did bork my install so I re-copied the whole folder off my portable drive and then it just grabbed some smaller patch files and was fine.

Glad to hear that was all you had to do to fix it \o/
