Why are half the achievements bugged?

It's just not very fun trying to get achievements when everything is as bugged as it is right now...
- Cheng Bo doesn't count for the Shado-Pan no-damage achievement
- Some of the companions of the Shado-Pan don't count for me when I complete quests (Yi is still at 2/15 although I've used him for more than 3 sets of dailies now)
- Scanaterday doesn't work
- Some other scenario achievements only seem to work sometimes or not at all
- 5 pets or so don't count for the pet collecting achievements and the Snowy Owl seems to just not exist in the game
- The Sha of Hatred doesn't count for the Tranquil Master achievement if you don't tag him first and he can't be seen after that because of phasing
- Silent Assassin only seems to work if you dismount before turning in and even then it's just luck really
- Escort Service in the new battleground doesn't count for me at all

And then there's some other things that are kind of stupid:
- The yak for Yak Attack doesn't move around anymore because people were farming there with the help of that guy
- In A Trail Of Smoke sucks when just one other person is doing the flying daily as well since the rings disappear if anyone uses them
- Ready for Raiding III needs you to not only receive no damage from the trials but also not receive damage anywhere else

I could go on forever but I think that's enough for now.
It's really really really getting on my nerves that I just can't complete these achievements. By the time they are fixed I will be done with dailies and will have to go do them anyway to see if they are working now.
And for Tranquil Master I will even have to get someone who's on the quest to invite me to receive credit for it...

Anyone else considering to stop getting achievements for the while just to wait until Blizzard fixes them? :/

Most of those aren't bugs but just systems that work a certain way.

I have Cheng-bo checked off for "Know your Role".

However, I didn't get credit for Spirit Dust and the only damage I took was some fall damage.

Also, pristine archeology artifacts don't count toward the 'find the whole set' achievements. If your first solve of a given artifact is the pristine version then you don't get achievement credit til you solve it a second time.

They do however count towards the 'collect 5/20 of these' achievements.

Just because YOU cant do it, that does not mean its bugged.

Actually the achievement text for Know your Role specifically says, "Complete each of the Shado-Pan Blackguard daily quests without taking any damage from monsters." Doesn't say anything about falling damage, which is stupid. Had I known they were going to be stupid with their wording I would have abandoned some of those quests and started again.

No, it's bugged and often won't count. I've completed it 4 times now taking zero damage in various ways, without letting my pet take damage (warlock), without letting my companion take damage, neither of these taking damage by hitting cheng just before another player kills him, flying in the air while a friend kills him etc.

None of these have worked, I do have a friend who's completed it though. It's just buggy as all hell, just because YOU have done it, doesn't mean it doesn't bug out.

That said - I agree with you on most the other points you made - especially the last one, I don't see why people think no damage doesn't mean exactly that - if you flew into the bonfire while handing it in then that's your bad, the criteria is clear.

One of the things I did for the Know your Role achievement is I started doing the quests 1 at a time. I did the quest to bomb the mantid, turned it in. Did the quest to kill 15 yaungol then turned it in. At any point if I saw my health drop below 100% I abandoned all the quests and went back to the quest giver. So far I'm only missing the Spirit Dust one.

There are currently some bugs, I've done the "Silent Assassin" for the 3rd time today. Without a companion this time. Not only killing exactly the amount of mantid, but killing absolutely nothing else, not even adds of the mantid boss of the day. Didn't grant it. I've done the dailies with the fire mage pandaren for the 5th time today, still not ticked of (I did get the frost mage ticked of after 3 days tho...). The no-damage-achivements are just annoying because they state "take no damage while doing this and that" and then you take damage from another source and you don't get the achievement. With the knowledge you can't take any damage from picking up the quest, untill you have turned it in, it becomes easier. You just have to be carefull and be smart.

I did Cheng Bo! without taking ANY damage, I even abandon and retook several time just because of taking damage. All I can think of was on first kill try I dodged two attacks (but took no damage). Second try I did absolutely everything without taking damage, didn't even get aggro to dodge (hunter pet ftw). If you argue that hunter pet taking damage shouldn't make it count, then why did it count on every other part of the Achievement?

As for Scenaterday, they say it will work in 5.1

Cheng bo is indeed quite iffy I had the exact same problem as you

the first time I tried this it didn't tick off and I know I didn't get any damage because my log didn't show any damage not to mention an other person was doing him and I just stood on max range shooting at it quest ticked of fine I turned it in nothing happened.

Second time I had the spirit dust quest and chengbo. Did spirit dust turned it in and it ticked of as complete on my achievement
Then finished the other quests tried some yaungol bombing achievement but it dint work for me so i decided to finish the rest of the quest (mind you spirit dust was already turned in and ticked off from my achievement) I got chengbo again so I was messing around with that didn't receive any damage so I turned in the quest and behold spirit dust just popped off again.

Yesterday I tried chengbo again again I did not get any damage according to the log and again it did not tick off.

I am also having the same problem with the yaungol oil bombs I went from 76 mobs to 92 yet achievement didn't pop up for some odd reason. So yea some things are slightly buggy for some people.

btw I am also a hunter maybe something is bugging out for us?

I cheesed half of "Know Your Role" achiev with another player killing the mobs for me while I stayed mounted in the air. Had my recount up on the "Damage Taken" tab to make sure I took absolutely zero damage from when I picked up the quest to when I turned it in.

Don't know about classes with pets or if you use abilities that cause you to be immune to damage, but its just best to do it with another player and get it over with.

EDIT: Was doing one of the quests for this achievement today and noticed I know longer have credit for "Spirit Dust", which I was pretty sure I completed the other day.

First off, don't answer with stupid answers when you don't have a clue.

1. It clearly says in the quest text "taking damage from MONSTERS". Which does NOT mean fall damage. So why would you even write that?
2. NO THEY DON'T. It is a bug and you need to relogg before starting with your quest, then it will work.
3. Well his point being that it is bugged.
4. Getting a ach in scenarios is sometimes pure luck. Like "No Tank You" which you can do flawless and still not get the ach. Luck shouldn't be what get you ach.

7. No, that is not true. I bet all of the people who didn't get it when they should got the "You can't do that yet"-bug. It is a bug, pure and simple.

Just because you COULD do it, does not mean it's NOT bugged.

Just a note regarding Cheng-Bo!

You only get credit for this achievement if you complete it the first attempt. If you fail, then abandon the quest and pick it up again you won't receive credit. I confirmed this on a second account.

(Yes I did the gate opening chain from Kun-Lai and literally every other Golden Lotus related quest. I've been exalted with them well over a week now)
