The only thing in Vindictus I really really needed was the extra inventory slots, but that's because I'm a packrat with the crafting mats.

Sucks that it doesn't perform well enough for you. It probably has something to do with the laptop since the game does have steep system requirements for being an older game. I'm not sure where you're judging the performance by in-game though, but if your computer is exploding in town, well everybody's system does including mine since it likes to auto switch channels to a highly populated one.
Well I know cities in online games are a pain for (almost) everyone since Orgrimmar was ALWAYS a pain for me. But my comp is not that bad to run that game so poorly like it does... did a few (err, instances? dungeons? xD) alone to see how it performs out of the city and well it just drops to 3-5 fps from 25-30 whenever it wants. My friend playing this has a worse comp than me, but the game runs fine for her, and I mean FINE: no fps drops, 30-40 stable fps at all times. I don't get it. I've tried everything and I can't get it to run the way it should xD this sucks, I was really liking this game, Kai is just so cute.

This is my laptop, in case you're wondering:
    · Intel pentium t43000 (2.1 ghz, 800 mhz FSB)
    · ATI mobility radeon HD 4570
    · 4GB RAM
(I don't know what else to put here, I'm not handy with these kind of things xD)
It's not a bad comp, but not a very good one either. Anyways the game should run better than that. Ah well. Shit happens.

Will go for SW:TOR at least to try it (won't pay for it even if I can't lvl anymorexD). DCUO, I've tried it on a classmate's comp some time ago and thought it was awesome. We like DC so... I guess we will give it a try. I had no idea it was F2P, thanks!

About GW2... I never liked pvp that much, and I know GW has always been mostly a PVP game. I was expecting some interesting PVE this time. I hope it improves over the time... I liked GW and I thought I would like GW2 as much as the first one (the Asura and Charr are just love) but I'm getting a bit disapointed

I really liked vanguard actually. Its f2p, not that many ppl play it (although that may have changed now that its f2p) Sort of the old everquest feel, in some dungeons I have enter specific text to enter. Very fun diplomacy system, which is a new thing. I really think vanguard was underrated and misunderstood when it came out. Hopefully more people start playing it again.

My best friend and I have already grow tired of paying to play WoW, it does not make much sense for us right now. Yes, pandas, new content... it's the same shit over again. It would be fine if it wasn't so expensive. So we're looking for a f2p mmo to pass the time. We play LoL sometimes but we don't really feel like playing all day... and we get bored easily. We want some mmo to invert some time into, not like playing 24/7 but you know. We know we won't find anything really like WoW, and we don't want that. We don't mind the graphics (but we stay away from Ragnarok and Mapple Story) and we REALLY like hunter/ranger/archer class and PETS. We were both hunters since vanilla till past week :P so we'd love an mmo with those kind of classes.

As of now I've seen the following mmos but haven't tried them yet, maybe any of you could give some info about gameplay and such on these ones?

-DragonSoul, seems ok but nothing interesting.
-Grand Fantasia, tried it some time ago and it was fun! I got tired because I didn't understand much, no one helped and I was playing alone xD
-War of the immortals, seems good but there's something about it that doesn't really convince me...
-Vindictus, a friend plays this one and she really likes it, but I'm not sure about it.

Appart from that, I'm planing on buying GW2 soon, but some friend told me it wasn't really THAT good. I tried it in beta, and liked it, but I don't know, is it worth it? my friend says it lacks on endgame content and that weapon skills are the worst :/

Well, last of all, I'd love if anyone would recommend a different free mmo from the ones I've said. Just don't say LOTRO! we got tired too fast of playing that one :/

Thanks everyone D: and sorry about my mistakes in english, it's not my native language.
Well I don't really know what to say here. But all MMOs are identical to WoW and most of the newer ones that have come out recently are basically WoW clones from everyone's opinions. Think GW stands out where you don't have to pay for it after buying the game. However, most F2P MMOs will have some kind of freemium based subscription. Its basically no fun playing a F2P game when you are restricted to mostly everything.

However, WoW was my first and only MMO and my last one as well. Quite frankly I am done with MMOs. Especially with the player base these days. You actually need a good number of competent people to get anything done in the game. Taking in guild drama, girl/boy problems, real life problems, etc just makes it even worse. Sure some people can handle it but I've past that phase. WoW of late has attracted a very different group of players from other genres who are attracted to the "Now..Gimme now" syndrom. Every new MMO that has come out in the last couple years main critic has been the lack of a LFG option for dungeons. People in the GW2 thread has been calling for one as well. There were SWTOR players that were calling for one immediately after that game was released. WoW has done more harm to the MMO genre than anything.

You say that you are bored of the repetitive process of farming for gear and in your words, "same shit over again".

Sadly all MMOs follow a similar structure and some don't even have any end game yet. If you are looking for game to play with your friend I highly recommend an RPG of some kind. Skyrim for example is any amazing game and its very MOD driven. I also think they do have a co-op mode just not sure how it works. Something to look into I guess.

The good things about RPGS and other FPS games is that you don't feel forced to play the game 24/7 and can pick it up and play whenever you want it. You ain't playing it on someone else's schedule. That was one of the biggest turn offs for me playing WoW. My game time was too dependent on everyone else's availability.

Secondly, RPGs give you the sense of exploration like no MMO will ever do. Every time I log into Skyrim I come across something new. I can simply promise you this, log in to Skyrim once and you will be amazed. I literally take breaks from quests to just stand on the highest peak and take in the beauty around me.

Download a few MODs and the immersion increases 10 folds. I suggest you both pick up Skyrim and download the co-op mod. This way you can play together. I think you can get up to 4 friends to play together. Not really sure. And the coolest thing about Skyrim is that you ain't pigeon holed into a certain spec. You can play the game the way you want to. So there ain't classes as such. However, you can improve your skills if you choose to specialise in a specific tree.

P.S Since you said you have tried out LOTRO, I have to say you are basically running out of F2P MMOs that are really worth it. You could look into the Asian market but quite frankly I don't like the Asian MMOs/RPGs/Games. One of the main reasons me not even wanting to sniff GW2. It has a lot of asian influence in it from its combat to questing to farming.

To the GW2 comment; yes, if the traditional "End game" design is what you need in an mmo then GW2 probably isn't for you. However, if you think you can live with out it, then I do recommend GW2.

As for strictly "free to play," you should check out Allods online. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allods_Online#_ (My tablet doesn't like the allods website).

And if you don't mind a "cartoony" look, try Eden Eternal.edeneternal.aeriagames.com/m

I played both for a couple months off and on. I only left because I didn't have any friends with me. I enjoyed my time in both games!
