Atonement healing on Heroic Gara'Jal

These are the logs from tonight. Not sure if it's possible to do more dps, or maybe dump some dps for healing. We didnt kill him, but got him down to 45% (10man)

(for this fight I went with int>spirit>haste>crit>mastery and I never stopped casting at any point during the fight.)

I am our 'third healer' disc priest for Heroic Gara'jal. I reforge every single piece of spirit I can off of my gear. It means absolutely nothing if you are doing the fight correctly. My stat priority is int>haste>crit>mastery>spirit. I do not oom. Reason? The spirit realm. I only go in if the other two healers cannot, and when inside I come out with full mana.

Just remember:

-Holy Fire & Penance on CD
-Smite Your Balls Off
-Keep SWP Up
-Solace if you feel you need the regen (You shouldnt)
-Shield tanks, and Voodoo Doll Targets
-Use your barrier, and PS early on so that you can have it for sub 20%
-USE DPS TRINKETS. Your not really "healing". Healing trinkets will do nothing for you.
-Make sure you are using int food, int flask, and PREPOT before the pull with a dps pot. The initial burst damage of your raid can make or break the fight.

I was pushing over 100K dps as disc during lust/pot all trinks proc'd at the beginning! After that I leveled off around 50Kish dps, but good lord mana burns up fast. I accidentally got too low before going to the spirit realm. Tough to get your regen going when you can hardly cast a spell!

Also, I found that Binding Heal was really nice to use in the spirit realm. Since it heals you and your target, it helps start stacks on yourself while getting stacks on a DPS. After I had mana going well enough I switched to alternating flash heal between the 2 DPS.

This DPS disc priest strat seems to be pretty nice though. Those smart heals + tank shield are pretty good for voodoo dolls.

It seemed to go pretty nice yes, alltho, i should get a dps trinket instead of the Thousand pickled egg.

Haste unbuffed: 13,04% (1,542)
Crit unbuffed: 12,63% (3,694)

Using thousand-year pickled egg (904int + 5.424 haste proc from heals), and i guess the atonement heals wont proc the trinket..
and Qin-Xi's Polarizing Seal (648 spirit with 431 haste reforged from it, wutg a 3.236 int proc)

Anyone think i should drop more crit for haste or?

Also, are you keeping constant shield on tanks and Doll'ed ppl? Oo Sounds expensive. And i alrdy need to go in the spirit realm about every 3rd time..

My spirit is 5,518, i reforged all out of spirit and enchants/gems aswell.. Alltho i couldnt rly find a better gem for blue sockets then Energized Wild Jade (160haste-160spi)
Ignored socket bonusses if it was +spirit.
