I understand if you're in Seattle, or Washington at all, and felt betrayed, or whatever. But anywhere else, you really have to look at what they've done since the team has moved. Given the success, no one can really fault them for packing up.

Knicks. I wore my Knicks jersey yesterday to school (from 7 AM - 5 PM) and two interesting things happened. My Electricity and Magnetism teacher asked about the jersey and I said "Oh it's for Carmelo Anthony on the Knicks...They aren't a good team but you still have to represent." And some kid in the class interjected saying "They are a good team, they're just taking time to build up." I laughed so fucking hard in his face lol.

And then as I was walking to my car (pretty quickly, a minor power walk) there were these groups of kids on campus I guess for some Halloween thing, and one of the guys escorting the kids shouted (not directly at me) "let's go knicks" or "its the knicks this year" or some fucking comment like that. I looked around to see who said it and he wasn't even looking at me but I just kind of raised my fist and said "yeah."

I am letting my Saints slide this year because of certain stuff...

for me, the last 4 games of 2001 will always have a special place in my heart

NHL teams. I'm so disappointed at this point that the lockout has been allowed to continue for this long. It's as if they really don't give a shit about their fans. For a sport that struggles to be in the top 5 in North America you think they would do a better job.

Well, I've been a Devils fan since I was a kid. They've been good to me, but the NHL is a laughing stock of a league. I've lost a lot of interest in hockey, which is a shame.

I've also been a Mets fan since I was a kid. I have less than no sympathy for Yankees fans that won a championship so recently. We recently had one of the worst collapses in the history of major league baseball. They spent the first half of last season building me up, only to kick sand in my face and laugh at me for believing again after the all star break. The last time my team won a World Series, I was three. At least we went to one in 2000. And lost to the fucking Yankees. Ugh.

I get very little sympathy myself because I'm a Giants fan, moved to Florida and became a Heat fan, and went to UF so I'm a Gators fan. Lots of recent success for my teams. Your team wins a ring, they get five years before you can bitch about anything.

    Two words: Auburn Tigers.

Is that because, as a Gators fan, Auburn was the bane of my existence for years? Or because they won a title and are now the worst team in the SEC?

If it's the former, I hate you. If it's the latter, they still won a BCS championship. I think plenty of fan bases would gladly trade places.

You mean it's gotten to the point where Yankee money won't buy rings for the city, so you are calling it quits?

I'm a Cleveland fan through and through, used to having bad teams but the intensity of the fans there and the loyalty of that city makes it much more enjoyable than spending billions on a sport to buy championchips.

I'd blame it more on an overhyped Vick, who is aging and past his prime, a receiver like Jackson who spends his entire contract year whining and complaining rather than focusing that shit on the field, and a defense who works well individually, but too many players who can't play as a unit. Can't blame Andy Reid for everything wrong with that team.

It's the fact they were so dominant two years ago, and are now talks about dropping their head coach, and the worst team in a conference that has Vanderbilt and Ole Miss and a surprising Mississippi State.

(by the way, also Gator fan here)

The New York Jets. They aren't going to make it to the playoffs unless they pretty much change their whole offense.

I gave up on them, but when it comes gametime, I always root and cheer and think they could win.

If you give up on cheering for a team you're not a real fan. Even though my football (soccer) team "NAC Breda" isn't playing that good almost every game I still cheer for them.

I also used to "cheer" for Allemania Aachen, wasn't a real fan but I liked the team. They're the crappiest team ever now and have been relegating for 2 years in a row (or 2 times in 3 years) and it looks like they'll relegate again.

see that guy? that guy gets it. spoiled New Yorkers with their average wait time of less than a year for one of their teams to win it all...

also, sorry if you're not a guy, cherb, I just kinda assume sometimes... also *fistbump* fellow Cleveland fan

BINGO BANGO BONGO! I used to go see 5+ jays games live a year when they still had Doc. I have not been to a single game since they traded him. Well...that and the fact that the team sucks year in and year out with no real vision for the future.

Also, Yankees fan REALLY? Poor baby! Always making the playoffs and winning a World Series a couple years ago MUST BE SO PAINFUL FOR YOU! They are old, overpaid and crumbling. Oh and they are all under contract for the next century so you had better get used to it.
Try being a Toronto Maple Leafs fan!! My poor hair is more grey than brown thanks to their continuous ineptitude (and im only 24!)

yes because it was vick when he was in jail and Mcnabb was the QB also...its both but more on the coach who cant draft a passing QB instead of a guy who prefers to run. or an offesive line who cant set up well for run plays.

Agreed with this. I can understand being frustrated with a club and/or how it's run, but to completely stop supporting them because they've gone 3 years without winning anything? That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

If you were a football fan, you'd probably be one of those Man City or Chelsea fans that no one like because they jumped ship when they started winning things.
