Funny story. Even if we dropped the royal family. A bit amount of the tax that goes to the family would still be left. Since it's used for upkeep for all the castles that the nation still owns. Which are quite a few. Unless we should sell those as well?

Americans are taught in school that our country was founded on equality, and that dispensing with royalty was integral to that. There's really no reason for it; it's just part of the myth of our country, that having no royalty is extremely important.

Except that she will never be the Queen of Sweden. She will be princess for the rest of her life and i don't even think he will get the title "prince" since he wont apply for a Swedish citizenship. Also you have to be a member of the Swedish christian church to be a royalty in Sweden.

Iirc he won't be a prince if he still wants to remain American as the constitution prohibits adopting titles of rank? Or perhaps it's just that they're void in America itself but outside he'd still be recognised as one, it's been a while since I've came across it ><

Actually, the 'founding fathers' who actually created the US didn't hate the King or the Queen until he refused to hear our complaints about the English Parliment. They mostly considered themselves good kings men until the he absolutely refused to listen.
