I remember seeing the footage for it at E3, looked pretty good. A lot of my friends are already saying it's going to suck, but I think BL2 is going the right way. New zombies, new campaign, awesome new vehicles and weapons. Good thing I preordered it, I already have the feeling that it's money well spent. That and my local gamestop is giving away a full-sized replica of the Death Machine in a raffle. Really wanna win that thing...

i liked BO better than some of the others. Cod4 and Mw2 will always be great, but, when especially compared to MW3, BO was better.

Plus I like Treyarch, they're willing to take risks and try adding new things. In COD they added theater (sure, Halo was there 1st), they added emblem system, and tried out gun currency system and swan dive. Now they're adding a live stream feature.

They came a long way from the awful messes called COD3 and W@W.

I'll take Treyarch over the safe sissies from Infinityward.

I've never liked CoD as much as Halo, but they're good backup games, and BO was by far my favorite CoD. I'll never understand why a lot of people say MW series has been better, only the first was worth anything IMO. But regardless, I hope this one is as good as the first BO. The new Halo has proven satisfactory, but I need more games since I'm once again quitting MMO's.

People liked MW series because it's more 'present' time

That's correct. There is only a minority that preferred the old-school black ops. I do think we had too many modern shooters (MW,BF,MOH) so people are going to enjoy the retro-future!

I second this! BO1 was hands down better than MW2/3 in my opinion. Hell even the campaign story was like BAZINGA MIND BLOWN! Unlike MW where it relied heavily on your feelings of patriotism.
Cheese. Its amazing. Until your feet smell like it.

Probably gonna get it a few weeks after launch, to close to Halo for me to spare time. I will miss the Vietnam era maps from black ops though.

I'm going to wait a month or so before purchasing, Treyarch have a really bad reputation with PC players already with Black ops 1 not even working for 50% of all pc players in the first few months. By time the hype settles and the dust clears, it will be on a steam sale anyway and then I will rejudge my evaluation on whether it worth buying or not. Chances are it isn't:-

    >Looks to be the same engine again (used in the past 5 games) and it's feeling dated.
    >They will be a few overpowered guns/perks which will be used by everyone and piss off those which don't use them.
    >Activision will milk the f**k out of it's customers with a new DLC map pack every month, costing 1/3 of the actual game price.
    >The game will face a hacker phase, like mw3, where it goes free for a month and then shrouded by hackers as it will never receive any support.
    >Single player will be this <---> short

I'm not saying it will be a bad game, I normally get a week or two of fun from them upon buying them, but this one is going to wait. The enormous amount of bugs that occurs from them having crap beta testers, and no closed/open betas for the consumers, make's it one of those games you are best to just wait and read the real reviews, from real people

So is this one actaully going to be good? Was dissapointed with MW2, and found MW3's multiplayer to be god awful. The maps were bad and the perk system has gotten worse, have they actually fixed stuff in CoD BO2?

You could look up info for yourself and see if you like it? Blops2 has a 'pick 10' system. Where each perk/attachment you do costs 1 point. If you want more than 2 attachments or 3 perks, you have to spend an extra point to pick up the excess ones.

For instance, if you want to run around with nothing but a knife, you can have like 6 perks or something crazy. Or you can have 5 attachements on a gun.

All the perks now effect your guy, and the attachments are how effective your gun is. So no more steady aim or stopping power perks, those would be gun attachments.

'Futuristic' gameplay for multiplayer, and co-op and competitive zombie maps. Also the single player apparently has branching storylines based on how well you do.

My take: At least they are trying some new stuff. W@W was crap. Blops1 was good, if not great. If Treyarch has continued to get better, Blops2 COULD be the best COD game since MW1/COD4.

Bleh I don't have enough friends who play cod games anymore to make it even worth picking up. I'm going to be one of 'those' people but I think COD is going downhill. With every new game it seems like the spawning system gets worse and the maps are garbage. They seemed to have toned down the killstreaks a tad tho. The perks have been pretty bland tho.

Just bought it and downloaded it, ready to destroy that singleplayer tonight and move onto multiplayer tomorrow.

Lets hope this isnt as insanely bad as the previous two CoD's.

im sort of looking forward to it, i really liked black ops1, but hated MW3, apart from the campaign. only good thing about the last few cods has been the campaign.
ill probably wait a week or 2 before buying ot though, still got halo to play.

I haven't picked up a CoD since W@W so I took a chance and bought this one and predownloaded it. Just waiting for it to go live. If nothing else I'm sure I can get mileage out of killing zeds with buddies. Here's to hoping multiplayer is fun as well.
