    Remembering a Legend.

Robert Norman "Bob" Ross was an American painter, art instructor, and television host. He is best known as the creator and host of The Joy of Painting, a television program that ran for more than a decade on PBS in the United States and Canada.
Born: October 29, 1942, Daytona Beach
Died: July 4, 1995, New Smyrna Beach
    Height: 6' 2" (1.88 m)
Artwork: Northern Lights, The old mill, Mountain Retreat, Alaskan Waterfall, More
    Spouse: Jane Ross, Lynda Brown
    Children: Steven Ross

He was an Icon a legend and a pop culture figure. He is what inspired me to be an artist. Today would have been his 74th birthday. Missed but not forgotten, R.I.P.

He's dead? But I still watch him painting mountains at 4am.

I am actually sad right now.

Happy little trees. Man that guy was bad ass, and no matter how hard I tried to follow his instruction, my trees were never freaking happy.

Oh, Bob Ross. Phew, I was worried you were wishing Goebbels happy birthday. He didn't like happy little trees at all.

At first I was kind of annoyed at this kind of remembrance thread, but then I realized who you were talking about.

They have one of those pictures of him above the google search function:

I remember once my uncle explained this guy to me when his show was on, and what a genius as fuck painter he was. I actually thought he was incredible.
