I wont unsub beacuse im loving raiding, but I need to say how much I hate dailies, the quote from atrahasis on the first page hit the nail on the head. I want to do other stuff like pet battles, pvp, level alts, gather mats for dmf cards, yet when I log in my first thought is, oh which faction rep to grind. By tying VP gear, valor points, coins of fortune etc to factions and dailies they removed the optional part for me, sure I dont have to rush because of the valor cap but if I want that bonus role during my raids I need to farm dailies, if I want to cap valor dailies it is, if I want to spend that valor, dailies it is. Its an awful system and I just hope that by 5.1 I never feel like I have to do a daily ever again.

I haven't touched a daily outside of The Tillers, which I'm still 8k away from exalted with. I went super casual on my main with this expansion, just gonna level alts up for professions, hang around until 5.1, then I can start pvp again. Not too fuzzed this time around, I knew what I was getting when I picked up my copy of MoP- it's Actiblizzion anyway.

I was not a fan of the mechanic on that stupid emperor boss. I guess I just needed more time but it was never clear to me where the axe was gonna swing for me to dodge it and if I had just a moments hesitation I would miss it even on lfr. Like the aoe circle foot step one was easy enough to dodge and recognize but it took me a moment to move and respond to it. I'm guessing theirs a pattern I'm not seeing and I should be anticipating it. The pattern wasn't very clear though. Other than that I liked the rest of the raid. Elegon especially. They need to make that debuff skin change thing when you become a constellation a weapon effect. I did not like being subject to RNG for reward though. I have friends who still after 4 weeks or so of doing lfr haven't gotten a damn thing. It pissed me off and was really only frustrating. I did get a piece on my third week but it honestly didn't feel more rewarding because of the fact I didn't get one on the previous two weeks. I don't get that. Taking the human element out of it was the dumbest thing ever. If I wanted loot to be subject to RNG I'd go play diablo but I guess I want loot handed to me now or something? Heaven forbid I be rewarded for my time in the game...

As for the reps well like I said my brother ground some of them out. I got revered with golden lotus and hated every minute of it. I didn't quest in townlong or in klaxxivness so I was kinda naked from the start with those guys. I had my fill of questing by lvl 89 to be honest because the quests were kinda stale. Actually I wasn't bored or burnt out by raiding dragon soul. I only came back in july and august. I had a blast the last month. I get why you guys were bored though. I understand totally. Their is grind in this game and the "grind" is behind the 1000 valor cap and the rng in lfr. Christ you get so little valor these days from everything. And even what you do get isn't useable now anyway. Grind has a strict relationship to reward. If reward is to far or to little then grind even if it's kinda paltry seems alot bigger. Even after all of that I'm not asking for an increase in the rate of valor acquisition or cap. Simply that I not touch a daily quest.
Yeah rep wise I think I might be honored with Golden Lotus from helping healers in our guild complete them as having a full OS set on top of your MS healing one early on was hard so they'd only have the healing spec, so there were never too time consuming (kill 12 of those mobs, well I have a pcket healer so I'll just pull 12 of them) but yeah I@d not be doing them solo, no need (hehe). So yeah get your bro to farm em lol seems like a good solution

As for the Emperors fight, I couldn't agree more, that Devestating Combo attack was something very new I felt, I couldn't dodge squat but then I tried this:

    /console cameraDistanceMaxFactor 5

And zoomed right out and had my camera at a steep angle to the boss. THis makes it VERY easy to see the 3 set of blue slashes that show where the arc will be (ignore your DBM it will give you position relative to which way he faces and as your tank is gonna be dodging them the boss is spinning like a top between slashes, so ARC LEFT won't mean the same thing each time) and ironically the hard one then to notice is the stomp

I'm running the 2nd half of LFR multiple times a week, just to practice that part of the fight, mostly (atm) because I'm finding it FUN to do, and its more a secondary concern that it also means I'll be able to do it better when we get there in our raids.

Also, I could be wrong but as part of the Golden Lotus dailies you have to fight some wolf with a sword in his mouth, and I'm pretty sure he emulates this ability (albeit without the oppertunistic strike extra button, or as much damage of course).

And I was never bored in DS we got our 8/8 HC about 2 weeks before patch 5.0.0 or whichever (we had 6 HC Madness kills iirc before MoP hit) so the content lasted us pretty well, our biggest hit to progression was lots of our raiders had babies so we had to recruit (seriously, like about 4 of them, which meant 6 raiders as some are couples, )
The establishment too is relatively happy when different groups of desperate people point the finger at each other because it prevents blame being correctly directed at them. Whenever we are looking for the solution to a problem we must identify who has power. By power I mean influence and money. The answer is not for us to move further from one another, crouched in opposing fortresses constructed from vindictive words. We need now to move closer to one another, to understand one another.

With all due respect, you're fucking retarded.

I didn't get that quest as a daily. In any event I always play at max camera and the slicing in the air wasn't very intuitive. Is that where I'm supposed to go? Or do I go 90 degrees away from that? Or the opposite? or behind? Do I jump the aoe one? or do I run out? What would have honestly been nicer is a aoe cursor on the ground. I get why they didn't do it but at the same time it would have made the mechanic much more intuitive. A bit more leeway would help as well especially on LFR. It doesn't really matter on LFR you can eat most of it but it made it frustrating to learn because it it was a split second and then bam your hit. The first time I tried to follow the druid tank around because he mostly knew how to dodge it but in the space of time it took me to react to where he was going and follow him I always got hit by the tail edge of the thing. It needs to be just a tad more forgiving. To be honest that fight takes LONG on lfr to. Especially if people aren't getting opportunistic strikes. Other than that MSV was a good raid. If I actually got loot out of it on a regular basis (either from boss drops or from coins which I rolled 9 times and ONLY got gold or from actual valor gear that wasn't behind dailies) I probably would have stayed with the game for alot longer.

unsubbed. Getting globalled in arena is fun. I mean... Yeh there are things you can do to slow it down but its just ridiculous atm.

    Unsubbed as well.

Game is old, boring and very ugly. The item level rat race spell has been broken.

Feeling a lot better playing newer MMOs with better gameplay and graphics.

I unsubbed yesterday too but it's not final yet as my gametime runs out after a week. But I'm almost sure that I won't have enough money for subscription at that specific time. Also I'm so much into The Secret World right now and it's the game I enjoy most, at least until AC3 is available on PC.

Also in WoW I've had so much problems and mess caused by it deciding which character I should play in this expansion it would just be wiser to quit altogether..

Pain of dailies vs joy of raiding. Tried it for a few weeks, then quit. Realized how much more worth it it was to quit and do neither rather than doing something you like and something you hate. Now I got time to do two things I like instead.

    I subbed. I saw. I unsubbed.

Frankly, Mists sounds cool in theory, but in practice I'm not that excited to play.

I think I'll try a new MMORPG for a change, GW2 for instance.

Unsubbed. Lesss than a month of pandaland.

I disagree with basically all of that. MoP is been pretty awesome across the board, and I can't find too many complaints.

Actually, I have an urge to level at least one character in Guild Wars 2 too, but as all of you know, it's difficult to find time for all of these games and still feel like you're progressing somewhere at least in one of them..

    Meh.
I was gonna resub for next patch but then I read this

Patch 5.1 will add two new factions, the Dominance Offensive and Operation: Shieldwall. These are the factions that are landing on the beach in Kasarang Wilds. Reputation for your faction is earned by completing the storyline quests and then doing daily quests afterwards.
    Barf.
    Hello hello dps are you there? On Recount I don't see a thing, main tank has the healing debuff from the boss you see you see;
Wha-a-at did you say? Vent is breaking up on me, sorry I can't talk now I am kinda healing; K-kinda healing, k-kinda healing...
