After Hurricane sandy a tally 6212 printer was submerged in 3 feet of water for hours and I am wondering if it is possible to salvage the parts of the printer.

In theory it should be possible to fix it by washing the whole thing in clean water to get rid of all shit from the sea, dry it properly and grease all moving parts again, but it will take a lot of time. Important thing is getting all seawater out of it before it dries to salvage anything.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
Trolling should be.
I would honestly bet against it. I have had computer rooms flood and it nuked all the wiring in the floor with fresh water. Besides, if this thing is under warranty or contracted maintenance you may void any service level agreements present if you start tearing it down. Your best course of action is to redirect any traffic to any other printer until a new one can be installed. Depending on your installation you can do this through the print server, smart ports, or other items. You can even install a pdf printer in some cases to save everything as a PDF until you can print them. We download cutepdf for free to do this on occassion.
