(SSD) OCZ Vertex 4 128Gb in Marvell 9128 chipset

Hi all

I am planning on buying the Vertex 4 and am aware of compatabillity issues with the Marvell 9128 chipset, am i likely to see a big speed increase coming from a traditional HDD even with the compatibillity problems?

Sidenote i plan to by the SSD either way and eventually upgrade my motherboard i'd just like some insight into how my current mobo will handle it.
