Not going for more hit, is honestly a pain in the ass. sure you get a little more dps, but you also get to stand there and wonder why you need to cast MG 5 times for it to stick, or at the start on a blood lust, your insta dots forgo putting on an agony. I say don't touch hit, but don't reforge for it either. find a middle ground between the two unless you're on heroic sha of fear right now. I'd say something arrrouuund 6-7 hit is good, less and you're gonna kill yourself.

Regardless, it looks like demo and destro might be contenders now adays anyway... it's honestly stupid that you need to play affliction all the time because every boss has multiple things you can dot.. destro was supposed to combat this with burst, demo with aoe,, but it doesnt happen.

It was never Hardcore Vs Casual. It was Socialites Vs. Solo players

    Here's the short answer:

Forging out of hit is a DPS gain. Why? Because if you miss any spell other than Haunt, all it cost you is a GCD as opposed to 2-3 seconds most DPS classes lose from full casts. So losing 1 GCD as opposed to gaining 20% damage on your DoTs from having way more mastery is a DPS gain in the long run. Annoying? Yes. But also a fairly decent DPS increase. Hope this helps.
