I predict that there will be people predicting what the next 4 years will be like, and that these very forums will explode in a massive QQ fest because one part won, and another lost.

Republican's voice in these forums is very weak, or they are such fanatics that no one takes them seriously on half of the things they post so its either the left cheering or the left complaining.

I'm Canadian so I'm not 100% in tune with how the U.S. political system works, but it's my understanding that a candidate could theoretically get a higher percentage of the popular vote but fail to carry your electoral college. Didn't this very thing happen to Al Gore in 2000?

As far as how this election is going to go down, my prediction is that Obama is going to win handily. I think the election has been made out a lot closer than it really is, just for the sake of dramatizing the TV coverage.

They have come to make sure no funny stuff happens this time around. I'm surprised that things could be so corrupt they would have to do this. This is a good point that I failed to touch on. If Romney wins the popular vote but loses the election, shit will go down, at least I hope it will. We could really use some reform in our voting system.

Texas for example. Has threatened to arrest them if they are within 100 feet of a polling place. You can google that. These are people you can't arrest. They're only and sole job is to make sure the elections go smoothly that people aren't throwing away votes for left wing or even the right wing. The Attorney General of Texas and Washington locked in a heated battle over this.

They act as if this is the first time they came here.

Mark Levin, Rush, Beck, tea party etc literally think people like Bachmann and Santorum were the best candidates. If any of them were nominated this election would be a landslide.

I find it hard to believe that this election is business as usual. For one, you literally have people who think Obama is a Muslim socialist born in Kenya who is purposefully destroying America. It isn't exactly a small group of people either.

Meanwhile, we are recovering from the worst global recession ever. Unemployment is still high. We have a republican house that absolutely refuses to do anything. For the first time ever religion seems to be losing its chokehold over public policy, and a lot of people are pissed.

It just really doesn't feel like a regular election to me.
