best proffesions for pve melee dps

what are currently the best profs for a pve melee dps ??

back when i was raiding in wotlk on my retri pala i had jc and ench which i dropped later for tailoring for a cloak enchant.
so basically jc and tailoring was the best at that time. what is it now ? anything changed, anything new added ?

Blacksmithing and Tailoring would be my guess, BS adds 2 more sockets still, and allows you to gem more str or haste w/e your playstyle prefers, after that I'd say Tailoring again with the cloak enchant, as MoP only added trash enchants for a Ret Paladin
    Armory
Haste only feels good to classes that truly benefit from it though. Can it be +Amp instead? Anything else really.
"Classes that truly benefit from Haste" means... Everyone except Warriors. (And we're going to fix that.)

oh i forgot to mention i dont play a retri pala anymore
    i play a windwalker monk.

and about blacksmithing, jc is superior to it cuz 3 jc only gems add more stats than 2 sockets from bs.

I enjoy engineering and alchemy. Alchemy for the plethora of flasks, duration bonuses and easy potion making. Engineering for all the tinkered items, repair bots, teleportation devices.

JC only give you 2 gems now. Engineering and tailoring are the best proffs. With BS as nr 3.

Welcome to MoP where you only can use 2 JC gems now.
Ideally no one has ever hit the level cap of the last expansion, looked at their dungeon blues, and thought "I win."

In MoP jc only gives 2 gems. BS is the best profession atm for everyone.

    What class in particular?

For Ret it's Engineering (stack gloves with ES <3) and Tailoring I'd wager.

Edit: Sorry, missed the part about WW monk.

Engineering is and always will be the best profession for any class.

After that, I would say blacksmithing or jewelcrafting.
