    5.1 Rogue Changes

    Just figured we should keep all the changes and discussion centralized. I will update this whenever more information is datamined.


    Current 5.1 Rogue Changes:
    Baseline
    Blind now has a 1.5 min cooldown, down from 3 min.
    Wound Poison damage increased by 33%.
    Dismantle disarm now lasts 8 sec, down from 10.

    Assassination
    Seal Fate will now only be activated by melee combo point generating abilities.

    Talents
    Burst of Speed now costs 50 energy, down from 60.
    Shuriken Toss damage is doubled if the enemy is farther than 10 yards away.

    Bug Fixes
    Poisons should now be more responsive.
    Revealing Strike should now be more responsive.

    Most Recent 5.1 Rogue Changes:

    if they're going to raise the cd on sprint back to 60 seconds, that'd better be a sign of them giving us step baseline soon

    That's what I'm thinking. Unless they expect to cure our mobility woes through double damage Shuriken Toss and a small energy cost reduction on Burst of Speed, which I honestly wouldn't put past them.

    Problem is, they're running out of time to do anything else.

    I've pretty much accepted that rogues are the play thing for blizzard to throw around and destroy. So until the dev team gets its head out of its ass I am just going to play a class that I don't cringe while playing.

    They nerfed subs sanguinary vein, from 20% to 16%. Funny huh?

    How are they running out of time to do anything else exactly? This isn't going to be a raid patch, its a storyline patch. They have anytime between now and 5.2's release to fix perceived issues.

    That's never gonna happen, because they would have to repalce step on this tier with a new talent... and there is no talent to copy from another class, fitting for the rogue.

    I am also thinking of "Envenom now does Nature damage.". Won't that make Envenom not scale with mastery, basicly making it do less damage than it already does?

    Also, I like how a single target, undispellable, 8s, 1m cd CC (Blind) is not ok while a AoE, undispellable, 8s, 1m cd CC (Intimidating Shout) is perfectly fine and has been forever.

    It has always done Nature damage, it's just tooltip clarification. Check combat log in-game if you like.

    I did not know this since it says "Instant poison damage" at the moment. My bad.

    its like GC says F**K YOU ROGUES you had your time in CATA and go and F**K YOURSELF you little B*****S god sometimes i want to punch that GC in the face
    the ultimate answer's to all rogue issues in MoP:

    -Reroll another class, who wants rougue's anyway.
    -Diablo 3 Sold 15 Million Copys
    -Haste will fix it
    -Rogue's are fine

    I meant to get any changes in to give us more mobility before 5.1, which is Tuesday I believe, and I don't expect them to do anything over the weekend.

    A lot of us were pretty hopeful to see some fixes this patch, but it looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer.

    i dont think 5.1 comes out on tuesday
    the 2 new raids will be coming out but not 5.1

    That actually makes a lot more sense. I was surprised by these last minute changes with the patch being so close.

    I hope you're right.
