    Whats more like a scout/ranger?

So I'm trying to make a ranger type character, and each npc I see in game that has the title 'Ranger..or Scout' isn't holding a bow they are duel wielding swords...

So is a rogue more like a scout/ranger then a hunter?
Shall I be dramatic and say "You haven't heard the last of me,"?

Depends what part of it you are after.

Roughly spoken, rogues sneak around stealthed and use only melee weapons. Hunters are ranged attackers(bow/gun), but got a pet for you to control on the side. Enganging into melee range as a hunter is not very wise, if possible at all anymore.

Hunter, U did know that hunters did dualwield swords right?
its just recently been "polished" and the npc models just stayed the same.

    Rogue are just saboteurs/infiltrators
Best that comes near scout/ranger is a hunter.

WoW doesn't have a dedicated Scout class like EQ/EQ2, that incorporates both ranged (Ranger) and melee (Swashbuckler-Assassin/Dirge-Tamborier).

So if you want a ranged scout type class, it's the Hunter. If you want a melee scout class, it's Rogue (and Rogues here can't wear mail).
From the #1 Cata review on Amazon.com: "Blizzard's greatest misstep was blaming players instead of admitting their mistakes.
They've convinced half of the population that the other half are unskilled whiners, causing a permanent rift in the community."

I've been playing for along time and I know hunters used melee weapons at a time... But I'm talking about now a days, what is more like a Ranger/scout

I know...I know, but their are two parts to a scout/ranger sometimes they use melee and sometimes they don't

A scout could use a melee weapon, but to me I think scouts are more like rogues and rangers more like hunters
