Your favorite old DOS games

Several of them I either don't remember or didn't know what they were (I only used DOS until I was 7 or so), but my all-time favorite was X-Wing. There was also some polygonic tank game where you shot things with very long legs, and a racing game in which humanoid animals drove go-karts around firing hedgehogs at each other. Don't really know what those were, just remember playing them. Oh, and Wolfenstein 3D. I loved DOS games, even if I was too young to know what they were.

OMG so much fun playing it.. play it seriously or try to snipe all the other drivers. or play it with a friend and have even more fun. The tracks were insane... Sadly it doesnt run on my machine anymore :-r

DOS gaming was utterly boring back in time. All interesting games were on consoles. Yeah, there were some exceptions like Prince of Persia or Captain Cosmic, but it was cool platform mostly for Arcade games, and later - FPS (Duke Nukem, Blood, Doom, Wolfenstein, etc.).

Oh almost forgot, Might and Magic III, IV, V - gems of RPG genre for DOS, other DOS RPGs were mostly some dull D&D stuff based on abuse of save scumming.

Interesting games on console? Haha... In 1988-1991 there was just NES, Atari 7200 and Sega Master Drive, maybe MSX if you were japanese but that was just a computer in disguise. Lots of awesome PC games came out in those years that weren't matched by console til SNES.

T.I.M was an amazing game. That's a game that would be a great steam remake. I always loved seeing where the bowling balls would go when I let them down the ramps.

EDIT: I cant belive I was the first one to mention Ski or Die, lol. That game was so epic.
