Um, what? It's literally exactly the same except with less flexibility. How does forcing players to run a dungeon every day instead of anytime convenient for them as long as it's before reset make things less of a job?

Many players (not saying it's your case, of course) believe that they are on par with the skill level of players further ahead than them, and that the only thing separating them from players with more progression is just gear. More often than not, the issue lies on the skill side, either your group is not really making the most of their dps rotations, cooldown usage is not being proper, etcetera, or it may very well be that your group is still undergeared for that fight (as long as everyone is decked in blue heroic gear, you'll be fine).

    This made my weekend.

We did an analysis of our database containing over 230,000 guilds and came up with the top 20 most popular guild names:

    Ascension 64
    Serenity 63
    Elysium 62
    Phoenix 62
    Synergy 60
    Insomnia 55
    Paradox 55
    Resurrection 55
    Sanctuary 55
    Unity 52
    Insidious 52
    Relentless 52
    Invictus 52
    Defiance 51
    Asylum 51
    Exodus 50
    Genesis 50
    Eclipse 50
    Requiem 49
    Prime 48
Latin names: Ascension (Ascensus), Serenity (Serenus), Insomnia, Ressurection (Resurgere), Sanctuary (Sanctuarium), Unity (Unire), Insidious (Insidere), Relentless (Relentus), Invictus, Requiem, Prime (Primus).

    Greek names: Elysium-Ηλύσια (Hlysia Pedia, Paradise in Ancient Greek and Roman religion), Phoenix-Φοίνιξ, Synergy-Συνέργεια, Paradox-Παράδοξον, Asylum-Άσυλον, Exodus-Έξοδος, Genesis-Γέννησις, Eclipse-Έκλειψις.

    Old French names: Defiance (Desfiance)

--------------------------------->One thousand years after the Norman_French conquest and still English-speaking people come up with Latin, Greek and Old French names. Almost two thousand years after the end of the Greco-Roman civilization, their cultural descendants in Europe still think in Latin and Greek terms. Amazing.

Edit: There is not one word of Germanic origin amongst those most popular guild names. (A linguist's observation)

And all their data is from WotLK and Cata. Things changed in Cata along with allowing one to cap VP from just seven dungeons and less if you did DS. Now players cannot cap from seven dungeons and even with LFR are still not at cap, so ether you run more dungeons or you do other things like dailies and raids.

I have no clue what is in the water over there at Blizzard. yet dailies and LFR was just as "optional" now as it was before and yet the developers are acting like they solved the "mandatory" situation just by telling players they are wrong and need to L2P again.

    Daily Random Dungeons
During cataclysm the dungeon system was changed to allow players to queue for dungeons/heroics, so that the first seven times we cleared it we got the extra rewards. Allowing players that don’t have enough time to log on each day to queue and knock them all out over a weekend etc. Why was this removed in MoP?
You now get Valor with every run, with a bonus for the first of the day. It's similar to the rested XP bonus while leveling up. We wanted a better catch up mechanism. More folks did dungeons/heroics when we had one a day than seven a week. The latter felt too much like a job.
I don't get it. So beeing able to do your 7 dungeons whenever you want feels more like a job than having to do a dungeon once a day? With the old way I did most of my dungeons on multiple alts on the weekend. Now I'm usually not doing any dungeons at all, or only one a day.

Stone Guards is mostly a coordination check between your tanks, the folks with Jasper Chains, and not much else. Certainly is not a DPS check (that would be, for some guilds, Gara'jal the Spiritbinder).
Is the dude talking about normal stone guard?
If so:I agree with Blizzard: L2P. Gear is the least of your problems.

trinkets are always a pain to get as drops so at least there's a guaranteed method of obtaining it.

If you are planning on getting a legendary any time in this expansion you need to do this faction for Wrathion anyways and so far no VP cost has been attached to these items so I do not see the problem. Plus I imagine a lot of people want the gryphon/ wyvern anyways - I know I do.

Normal stone guard takes some practice, especially if you don't have skilled raiders. My guild killed them on our 10th try (although we got to 1% on our third try) the other night. It was tough, and hard for everyone to stay on the ball, but it worked out. What I don't get is people who think that raiding is supposed to be easy! It's not. It's supposed to require a lot of attention and focus. The fact that so many guilds can't kill Elegon is indicative that it's a hard fight. But plenty of guilds HAVE done it, which means that the other guilds need to improve their gear or step up their game.

On the "show LFR loot rolls" front, what about this: Instead of showing who won what, instead you could:

    * Show WHO won things, but not WHAT they won. This might not be great because they might get pestered to link what they won.
    * Show WHAT dropped, but not WHO won it.
    * Show HOW MANY things dropped, but not WHAT dropped or WHO received it.

I would have posted this on the wow forums but the forums seem to think I have no characters. :P

I am disappointed in all the tanking stuff having dodge/parry or other poor itemization on it. These days for parry tanks other 2ndary stats end up being better itemization, and dodge has the worst DR ever (on my DK it is nearly a 3:1 ratio for parry:dodge).

Best fucking blue post i have ever seen. QQ'er got owned and pretty mutch told to l2p. Liking it!

Wonderful blue posts. I hate people who fucking raid normal/heroics and QQ about LFR. After 1-2 months of raiding normal/heroic, you're gonna be decked out in almost full normal/heroic gear and LFR will never again be touched. Jesus, these people.

QQ'ers got told to L2P back in Cata and then got catered to. It worked before, so they are only going to do it again.

"Patch 5.1 will add two new factions, the Dominance Offensive and Operation: Shieldwall." Yes I really, really wanted this. I said to myself MOP is really lacking in daily quests and reputation grinds....sigh.

Unoriginal guild names are unoriginal. Not that I'm surprised about that fact, mind you. No, rather, I'm surprised that most of those names don't show up on every single North American and European server out there, as well as most other regions.

That's what im saying. Why are people complaining about reps so much once you get revered you can quit if your only doing it for gear and once you get revered you never have to do dailys there again.
