Is humanity ever going to achieve effective travel at speeds faster than the speed of light (not time dilation). Since i already believe extraterrestrials exist, i wouldn't want to waste my question on something that's a 99.x% certainty (to me, and, to be frank, astronomers). Travel faster than the speed of light, though, is technically forbidden by the laws of physics, but there are a few catches. Some require huge energies, some require the people traveling in a hypothetical ship to skip shit tons of time, resulting in them reaching their destinations literally thousands of years later from the universe's perspective, etc.

I think you underestimate the stupidity of people. Even if something is completely obvious that its wrong or false, some will still believe in it and refuse to change.

This would 100% be my question. How can it not be everyones, either side of the coin it would solve so many issues.

People with questions other than this, eg sustainable resources etc. If there was no religion imagine the time, money and other things not wasted on it, and focused into other areas. There probably wouldn't be wars either, so instead of wasting trillions on military, we as humans could actually get stuff done.
