What that driver did... didn't even make sense at all. Heck, to even go on the sidewalk just makes it worse... Sometimes I doubt the intelligence of people of our world.

Well, sometimes punishments should be degrading. Just like I've seen happen to taggers some places, if they got busted, they had to wash/paint every wall they have their tag on before punishment is over.

She wasn't dumb, she just did something stupid and I think the punishment she got is a decent one.

I know shaming and humiliation is bad, but this woman did something very wrong, she could have ran over someone when doing that.

Of course not, you shouldn't because of that. But again, we don't know much about the driver. It was a dumb action though, but should also be helpful. I would like if punishments helped the community a bit too. The driver could have helped by holding up a stop sign and control the traffic near a school then. Would be helpful.

Because the street laws require you to stop on both sides of the road while there is a school bus stopped. Its so kids going both ways on the road can get away before traffic is moving around them. She drove up on the sidewalk because she thought that was far enough away from the bus to justify not stopping. Of course then she got busted for leaving the pavement AND driving past a bus endangering kids.

Unfortunately in some places around the US, there are whole large areas of people who suffer a severe form of 'don't give a F about anyone or anything'.

You really want to put more kids lives in her hands? She already put their lives along with any person who might be walking down the sidewalk or from around the corner of a building in danger.
