It will always come down to the player's skill level. With the avatar nerf warriors are going to have a hard time catching any mage, good or bad. Instead of nerfing avatar i suggest they make it so that recklessness and avatar can not be used at the same time.

Personally Avatar nerf isnt that much of "free kill" for warriors since there is always 2ble blessing of freedom,yes its about time to get used to it u never had free moving and u dont deserve it (2ble charge? heroic leap? 1 aoe slow? slow? AND u want immune to slows?).Still u can always team up with a pally and get ur blessing of freedom.

Top warriors will still be able to beat top mages in a 1v1 situation. It's just going to be more difficult after 5.1.
