    Whats wrong with my laptop!

    Whats wrong here!

    After I "accidentally" cancelled a Windows Update thing the laptop is now rather bugged. Text in the browser and various programs shows as fancy boxes.

    Weird. Have you tried a Restore to before you did the update?

    If it's successful and everything looks fine afterwards, be sure to run a virus scan and also a spyware scan.

    try pressing Left ALT + Shift.

    This is a different language localization. Get into control panels -> regional / language options.
