The way they're doing times in this game is really confusing me.
9pm EST - That I could work out fine.

Deadline is Tue 10:00 EST (UTC -5)
Tue 15:00 GMT (UTC ±0)
What is this...I have less idea of when day will end now than I did before I checked!

It's still the same. The only real diff is that I've gone from 12 hour format (am/pm) to 24 hour format. The reason for that is to not mess up should I forget to add am/pm as I don't use it myself normally. Besides 24 hour format is standard.

Some of the problem you're having now I think is that there's no longer DST. The time in New York is as of this post about a quarter past midday (12:15) local time. Exactly to the minute two weeks ago, it was 13:15 though. Local time two weeks ago was EDT (although some mods wrongly wrote EST), while local time now is EST.

A bit this. I've added UTC times so that people may get used to them and perhaps in a couple of games we can move on to that as that is standard as well.

Or, check what time it is in the UK, like we've had to for PST for nineteen games.

We've used EST/EDT for almost all games afaik, not PST. I guess you may just proved how confusing time zones can be.

Yea I remember that , which is kinda why I only added UTC in brackets and still use EST as main. There won't be DST for a couple of months yet so people have got time to learn UTC before then I hope.
