How do I set it to not reforge away from the expertise cap? I know that losing some expertise for mastery is good but it has me reforging out of it in every spot for things like crit and haste.

ShC doesn't offer this option. You have to manually change the reforge on pieces until you get it how you want or plug your weights into a different reforge calc and tell it to cap exp.

Probably because you're not geared enough for your secondary stats to scale together very well. Note that it's only better for your MH.

oddly enough even at 505 (cough) ilvl, both of them sim fairly close.

Honestly that was debated very early on and I don't recall seeing a definite conclusion and everyone has pretty much let that discussion drop because its completely irrelevant. You can put either on mh, and honestly if you are using either it doesn't f'ing matter at all because you obviously aren't actually trying to min/max (which would be the point in knowing which enchant is a few dps ahead). And if you aren't trying to min/max than something like a 5-10% difference in the dps contribution of your weapon enchants is completely meaningless.

I do realize you could be asking because you have a blue or maybe an lfr and you're cheap. That doesn't matter though. Either you care about min/maxing or you don't and just maybe want it to appear like you at least slightly give a crap about min/maxing. So go with whatever inferior enchant or put dancing steel on because it is the best. I mean if you are not using dancing steel, I'm pretty confident in saying you are not min/maxing other stuff as well. And if you aren't using dancing steel (which is easily visible to your raid) and still getting a raid spot, your guild doesn't care much either so why bother to put on a farce like you care by digging around to find which of the inferior enchants is marginally superior to the other?
