Hello fellow mages,

I was thinking about something today, the current priority is as follows:

Hit (4930 rating) > Crit > Int > Haste cap (~3300) > Haste > Mastery

Next patch when combustion ONLY draws in the numbers from IGNITE and not pyro, will that change to prio to the following?

the pyro change was reverted. i doubt that the combustion change wasnt reverted, because it would be overpowered.

I doubt the change will be sufficient to change stat priority, but it's always worthwhile to sim your own character. Also, your exact abilities, playstyle, and the fight that you're progressing on will change the relative value of stats beyond what's mathed out.

The only thing having a line drawn over it is the Pyro change, not the combustion change.

Intellect is still worth almost twice as much as Crit, it's just better to gem crit.

Combustion is 10-15% or our damage, I doubt a change that makes ignite slightly more valuable in a small time window can offset the difference of more casts.

Almost certainly not.
We do not have an ETA for 5.1 yet.

Mastery is already more valuable than haste at BiS after soft caps so, doubt this will change much
