Can someone that has knowledge of lua coding (or author himself) tell me if this addon uses scale factors to decide when is the right time to recast dot. If dot is cast with 1000 haste rating buff and meanwhile that buff wears off, but by the time dot is on its half duration 1000 mastery rating buff procs what will addon suggest, to recast it or not?

Weakauras can attach lua code to things, Buttontimers can not.

If not, I'd like to request the ability to do so.
Not currently, I'll try to add that.

Addon recalculates dot dps every time your int/mastery/haste/crit changes, if it is higher - background will be colored green in this scenario.

One thing that confuses my about this addon:

'Blue: your current stats are better, recasting will not have a full benefit of Pandemic'

If I put up a dot (Agony for instance) and something procs 1 second later, I would expect it to turn blue, since my current stats are now better, but its not pandemic safe - but it doesn't, it stays red.

Perhaps I have misunderstood the concept of 'pandemic safe', isn't that 7s for UA, 9s for Corruption, and 11s for Agony ? If not, I have no clue what blue means

    Awesome addon though!!

Nvm, found the 'Color switch' setting, I got it now

    Really nice addon, good job!

It might be too much to ask for, but could'nt it be doable to make the addon just like droodfocus DOTS? That u get a green small dot on the icon when you should refresh it and a red dot when u shouldnt etc.

  6. #266
Would it be possible to make the Text (numbers) change color just as the background? My ui would be so much cleaner then. As it is now I just use the numbers and take away the icons and put transparency to 0 and make my decision according to the number instead of the colour and manage Pandemic myself . If its possible to use the color change on the numbers instead this absolutely great addon would be even better for me.

This addon isn't intended to just be a "notification" type of addon. I believe the author would like it to completely replace (FX, NtN, Buttontimers, etc.) altogether. Personally, I don't use any of these anymore; I'm able to have my old timers completely replaced by these (though bar timers in the future would be more to my style, but it still works great), and am consistently parsing top 200 WoL every night about 80% of encounters we do a night (25 heroic). So if you really understand what the addon is telling you to do, and how it is supposed to function for you, you wouldn't want the "notification" type addon, imo.

Well, we already spend a lot of time watching timers, big colored bars that can be seen using pheripherial vision are better than tiny dots in my opinion.

    Ok.

Timers should be ready this week. Only for target and focus though, there are some issues with making timers for every target (mainly because there is no way to get information about dot durations on them, they have to be guessed and estimeted and Pandemic makes it somewhat unreliable).

I don't really care about anything but my target. The focus is nice, but I know the timing of when I put dots up and in which order for each mob (I'm generally pretty good up to 4 targets) so don't stress yourself out with trying to make an addon that plays for people. What you have now is amazing, and allows us to not have to know the buffs up on each mob as well as the timing of its dots.

Currently using the functionality with WA, but it doesn't seem to work with my doom timer. I'm not sure what I did wrong, if someone could look this over and see what I did wrong (though the affliction dots are working, it always displays doom as black and at 100%).

Anyone found a way to integrate this mod into tidy plates ? (The colors at least).

  12. #272
most likely would have to mod tidy plates lua itself to add it in there.

Dont know if this has come up yet, but here is a (debatable !) suggestion from testing it on dummy for a few minutes :

    - Include casting time of UA into account when computing its "pandemic safety" (i.e. red->yellow at 8.5s remaining instead of 7, if you can include haste to account for shorter cast time and mayben even UA's duration not being exactly 14s, that's great, but simply adding 1.5s would already make it more clear when it is safe to recast). Note that the display would become invalid if refreshing instantly using SB+SS, but I think I personnaly would be ok making that tradeoff. Really a design decision in the end here !

Also just wanted to congratulate & thank you for doing that, I had been doing the DoT+Procs optimization in my head and following my guts for a long time now and getting to see numbers is really great for that matter !

More feedback to come after extensive raid-situation testing ;-)

    1.10 beta with timer bars:
    http://www.curseforge.com/media/file...Dots-1.10b.zip

Black lines are Pandemic safezone indicator and second to last tick indicator. Absolute values are removed for now, had to simplify something.

Maybe as option in next version.

Got this error message while trying out the bars set up. It did seem to work fine though, regardless of the error.

Seems you got some bugs fixed though, cause I'm not getting affdots to show up in Destro anymore, so good job!

    Will test more.

EDIT: Totally forgot, brilliant work on the interface for the Affdots menu, looks really slick now!
