Multiple states petition Obama to secede from Union, start own governments

So a week later in an ironic twist of fate, many Republicans are trying to Start a Secession movement.

I think Reagan, Lincoln, and Nixon are rolling unhappily in there graves today.

Lincoln did everything in his power to preserve the Union.
Reagan and Nixon both where Amazingly patriotic and willing to do anything to preserve the union.


So I put it to these forums to ask several questions.

1. Are the Republicans disloyal to America?
2. Would you want your state to Secede?
3. For the non-Americans is this too much political drama coming from one of the most influential nations in the world?
4. Would you like to see them all gather in Texas and let Texas go away?

Radical people do these secession stints all the time when they don't get their way (aka when they can't oppress other people). It won't add up to anything. They just look like loons.

There's already a thread on this. But for what it's worth, if you look at the actual petitions you'll see that they have anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand signatures. This is the political fringe at its best.
