United States Energy Independence - Natural Gas, Oil, Next?

The United States is slated to become energy independent by the year 2035, thanks to bipartisan efforts in multiple administrations. We should be a net exporter of natural gas by 2020 and a net exporter of oil by 2035.

What would we do next? What's next? Solar? Nuclear? Wind?
The less you know, the more you believe.

Science has promised us nothing and given us everything, faith has promised us everything and given us nothing.

We already have working 3rd generation reactors. Molten salt tech is still only a prototype and 20 years away.

thorium would likely be the first molten salt reactor

We'll be energy independant at great cost. Destroying our own environment.
