My post said, "Logging in", you still have to do it. So doesn't matter if the way has changed the fact is you still have to log in. That hasn't changed and will never change.

But to log in, you had to type account name and password. Now it's email + password

Holy shit, This is a valid point. I cannot think of 1 spell since Vanilla that is not the slightest bit different to how it was.

You have 2 more cds to use, AR's cd is reduced by your finishing moves, you have to keep track of your insights and there is TotT also.

In the beginning, you could only enter from BRD and UBRS. The porting npc and orb was added in a later patch.

There honestly hasn't been a single thing in this thread that can't be refuted as changed. It's kind of sad to know that every single thing has been tweaked or added to in some way. There might be a lot of old instances that haven't changed since they launched, but I'm not positive on that. Before Cata there were a lot of things that hadn't changed, but most everything that was untouched was corrupted with Deathwing's bastardry.

Kidney Shot doesn't changed a bit, and afaik Safe Fall is also unchanged.

Safe Fall got a glyph that increased the distance you could fall. Kidney shot had a damage modifier put on it, had times tweaked over the course, etc.

I meant it when I said there is basically nothing that hasn't changed. If it is a spell, it has definitely changed.

Far Sight's range was nerfed. I can only go from Org to the far end of southern barrens now I suspect Eagle Eye was nerfed in the same way. Also, I believe the number of snakes released by snake trap has been increased since launch.

I should have rephrased to features, not 'what we call things' b/c that's mostly silly. Additionally, several of the points you mentioned have been refuted.

- Lottery system of rewards

Reward systems have changed in the game since the first expansion pack...so...not buying it. Especially now with extra chances, the entire system is changed.

- Normal / epic land mount speed

Most people would consider something so specific not applicable, because Mounts as a whole have changed a LOT. Likewise, classes received buffs/spells that increased their mount speed...so it has changed.

- Layout of default minimap on right top corner
- action bars

Blizzard has left UI implementation mostly to addons, only picking from those addons what is incredibly effective and easy to code for them.

- Reputation amounts required from hated to exalted and all steps inbetween

Will be changed in 5.1

- Elwynn forest trees
- Everlook
- Ratchet

I am one that thinks we may have a lot of graphical presentations unchanged in some places, but I'm sure that the quests have changed a great deal. Saying they haven't changed is arguing semantics at this point.

Uhh...completely changed since the beginning of the game. Features were added, crazy little annoying pop out we have now..etc.

Dailies didn't exist in the beginning, so blue icons didn't exist/weren't used the same

- Dismount sound (and other sound effects)
- Dying if health drops below 1

Walking speed I think you have one, but multiple classes have prevent death mechanics when your health drops below 1 now. Paladins, Priests, etc. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.


I could go on, but half of the rest of them have also changed/been refuted in this thread.
