the way the republican party is set up..its not really set up for the minority..but the truth is...latino is the majority in the US and has been since 03..atleast from what i understand.

eh who cares at this point. He is still upset that he lost. He will be over it and people will forget about him on a large scale.

He lost certain votes -- votes he stood no chance of winning.
No, I am not spinning it anyway. Again, tell me what things that certain groups of people because of their complexion should have that other people who are different should not? Or because they are a certain ethic group, they need certain things that others do not. If the democratic party has certain things only for certain ethic groups, that is racist is it not?

What should Romney, "offer" to people because they are not the same as "most people." (Last question is just trying to show how absurd it is)

People should be treated as people, and not have special treatment just because of being part of another ethic group.

Yes because every Latino is in the country illegally right? That is completely absurd.

I think that you are looking at that statistic the wrong way. It could just mean that neither canidate could sway a lot of people to either side enough to bring them out to cast their ballot.

Also, where did you get that number from? I'm seeing 128 million votes out of the 311 million in the US is about 41%. That also doesn't account for those who are <18 and those that cannot vote.

I believe the general consensus is that Dem turnout was high (in some places, record) and GOP turnout was low.

The check isn't fat, only 8% of American's get 100% of their income from the Government through social programs, and before Bush tanked the economy it was 2%. 60% of the 47% are the working poor, and while they don't pay income tax, they do pay payroll tax, at a rate just over 15% they pay a higher rate then Mitt. This group would pay income tax if their "Job Creators" paid them a living wage. 22% are Retired Seniors who don't pay income tax because they don't work, and the other 8% of people who don't pay income tax are students who don't have jobs.

Of course we don't talk about all the government spending on subsidies and tax breaks for the Oil industry, or farm subsidies, or that most southern red states get more in Federal dollars then is collected in tax, where a Blue state like California gets less then $.50 on the dollar.

At the end of the day doubling down isn't going to help the GOP, and some are going past that, Bennett in an opinion bit on CNN basically said that the GOP lost because educated people are brainwashed for socialism.

Calling the people not voting for you brainwashed moochers is not a strategy to win their vote.

Romney is spot on, and that's why there will never be another republican president. Democrats are too good at promising government goodies to their voting base. I'll be laughing hard when America goes bankrupt and Americans blame republicans for it. The downfall of the empire is coming on fast. I suppose if republicans become more like democrats they might have a chance, but then why bother having 2 parties at all?

On a side note, how hilarious is it that the most liberal republican candidate ever Mitt Romney was successfully painted as a right wing extremist by the Obama campaign? lols

As for Obama, government dependence in the form of welfare has grown tremendously over the course of his presidency. Anyone who is on welfare or food stamps and not trying to get off those programs IS a moocher.

Meh, I'm surprised he's surprised. It's kind of sad that he thought he could win by flip-flopping his way to the White House. I didn't vote for Romney because I had no idea what I'd be voting for, not to mention that I had no desire to legitimize the way he ran his race. Maybe if he had actually stood for something I would have tossed him a vote.

What Romney doesn't understand is why these minority groups are voting Democrat. The Republicans simply have nothing to offer them.
The Democrats don't have anything to offer them either, other than handouts. Without betraying our principles, how can we compete with a group that promises to give people everything they wanted on a silver-platter, without having to work for it?

Congress has more to blame with the economy since they are the ones that push through tax laws, not the president. Even so, the consumer is more to blame for the economy tanking, when so many people were buying more and more things (like houses) they could not afford, then had a ripple effect of massive layoffs after massive job creation that was built on phony money. Even if a democratic president was in office it would not of changed what happened.

Just 15 years ago if you won over 60% of the white vote, it would have been a land slide victory. Here Romney got over 60% and still lost.

america is 85% white, 15% every minority race combined, the 2 "largest" of the minorities are of course latinos and blacks, even if 100% of them voted for one cantidate, you still need mostly white votes to get elected, and the fact of the matter is obama won among white people as well as latinos and blacks, and now republicans want to turn it into "we only lost because of the blacks/latinos/moocher parasite class"

when in reality, the white wealthy elite ARE the moocher parasite class that feeds of society, gives as little to nothing back as possible, gets tax break after tax break, lays you off/makes your job obsolete or performed by a machine or a 3rd world worker for 1/50th the pay, and then bitches about people wanting basic necessities in life like food, shelter, and health care, because of course they need their 4th yacht/8th mansion/etc. because they are the mighty JOB CREATOR class, all hail.

and idiots line up to defend this shit as the famous quote went poor americans see themselves not as poor but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires, so they want to keep things as unequal as possible in hopes they too one day can enjoy this insane advantage over most other human beings.

it does crack me up when people whoop themselves into a frezy over obama, who is a right-leaning centrist democrat who's only actual fault was trying to work with republicans and reach across the aisle to a party who were united in stonewalling anything he would ever try to do to MAKE the country fail so they could then say "hey look, he didn't magically fix everything wrong with the country in 4 years, lets go back to our policies that caused it all in the first place!".

i challenge anyone to name actual things obama did that indicate he is a socialist/nazi/muslim/terrorist as i've heard so many wingnuts accuse him of being, without just linking to wingnut right-wing lie factories.
