Question How much did your computer case cost?

Only vendor price of your case in USD ($), without extras like water cooling, radiators, extra fans or extra side panels etc.
Obviously this applies only to those who built their own PCs.

I'm just curious what people are willing to spend on computer cases. Mine did cost like 300 EUR when I bought it a few years ago, now it's much cheaper: Silverstone TJ-10

I guess my next one will be a self made case, I have to try that at least once

Currently, for me the most fascinating case on the market is the InWin H-Frame. Weird design, it will eat a lot of dust but it looks special and is all aluminum. Unfortunately it cannot handle E-ATX.

Do you have that many PCs or do you change your case that frequently?

    +1

    ~ 75-150 for a good case.

I wouldn't pay more than 150 for a case to be honest. All you get
    is fancy leds.

    (Alienware Aurora ALX Case)
That's how much you have to pay on average for getting one on eBay, since they don't really sell them separately.

Can't remember exactly, but I believe I paid somewhere around $150 for this a few years ago. It's an awesome case though. Mine has an Iron Maiden sticker on the front of it, but otherwise, I'm not that big on bling or flashy crap, so no lights or anything fancy.

Around 200 Eur for a Silverstone FT02, still best case I've ever had

Corsair Obsidian 700D, which cost about £120 iirc, which is $190 at current exchange rates (but was more when I purchased it - it worked out at about $210 I think).

Modded it quite a bit, but all that cost me was a crappy dremel that died while doing it.

Level 10 GT Snow Edition. I forget exact price, but it think it's in the 200-300 range.

Nothing wrong with spending a bit more on a good case. They'll basically last as long/as many builds as you want to use it.
