Daily questing is ruining my gamiing experience what was your intentions?

Seriously , don't you see how all of this QQ on dailies is retarded? How much must it be repeated? You DO NOT have to DO dailies! As a matter of fact , you don't HAVE to do anything , everything IS optional. If you want to raid , than just f - ing raid! Spend a day getting some quest gear and heroic loot , get your buddies and raid. Want some free epics? Do a LFR once in a while. Really want that golden lotus crane mount? Than spend 30min a day to do some quests and continue doing whatever you want. I'm no psychologist but i'm pretty sure that if you are absolutely compelled to do EVERYTHING you have a mental illness and you should consult someone or quit the game , as it obviously not for you.

So just stop whining and enjoy the huge amount of content and freedom of choice ( that was not present in vanilla or BC you adore so much for some reason ) this expansion has brought to the game.

We need someone to compile all the arguments against 'forced' dailies and all the responces that expose that they are in no way forced or required and then sticky it right at the top of the forums so we can stop having a never ending parade of people who would rather explode than think up alternatives to doing dailies. Every 5 pages we have someone who ignores the previous pages and starts the battle new.

And no, saying hello when you join a raid or dungeon is not socialising.

I never posted on the WoW forums during all my years of gameplay , so I have no idea what is going on in there. But , in my experience a slightly forceful approach works more effectively to get 'hard' concepts into peoples minds. I have no idea how you could have been offended by that , but if you did , i'm nevertheless sorry.

Ok well i understand my OP came off as QQ but im actually more concerned how it is affecting the social aspect of the game again thats up for debate as well but thats the direction i want this thread to go....social aspect.

How is it affecting the social aspect of the game? I haven't heard this argument before so I am curious.

Based on your original post, you stated that gear was why you feel that the dailies are mandatory. I can tell you that I am living proof that dailies are not mandatory. I may do Golden Lotus once a week, if I remember, I haven't really started on Klaxxi and I really just do Cloud Serpent, Tillers and Anglers stuff. I'm taking it slow, and my gear isn't all that bad. Sure, most of it is heroic 5 man gear, and it's not fully min/maxed, but since I am not pushing progression every week in raids, it doesn't need to be.

And really, if you are pushing progression, all of the rep gear is going to be replaced by normal raid gear anyway and in short order. Dailies aren't mandatory in the slightest. They may be the most time effective, but they are certainly not mandatory.

All that said. I am very curious about the loss of the social aspect of the game. I hope you will explain what you are seeing to me. I would greatly appreciate it.

yes its awful. I want to max out my Reps and such asap but doing all the dailys for all the factions each and every day is just awful. I personally liked ye olde 25 daily limit. I have stopped doing them all and only focus on a few each day now. When Im exalted with those Ill do the others but this was the only choice for me I was at the point (after 3 weeks of doing every one of them every day) that I just didnt want to play and I dont ever want to level one of my 14 level 85s or start a new character just because of this redic rep grind.

AS STATED BEFORE: You can't possibly buy all the valor gear at once due to a 1k a week cap so you DONT NEED TO DO ALL THE DAILIES AT ONCE!!!! If you get honored with one (which you can get while leveling in dread wastes/townlong steps without doing a single daily) you get 1-2 items you can buy, and then you have 2-4 weeks to work on another groups rep before you could possibly buy any other item. Then you have another 2-4 weeks before you could possibly buy any more valor gear. So you can just work 1 or 2 at a time and NOT BURN OUT!

If you really burned yourself out by doing ALL the dailies at once its because you didn't do the math and just blasted headfirst into a painful door instead of turning the doorknob.

Basically what im noticing and of course its a different perspective for everyone...the tasks that the game is having us do whether forced or not is time consuming...and again thats perspective because people are saying its fast and you dont have to do them all and whatnot.In past expansions i found i had more time to do other things with the guild from just talking to whatever random stuff. Why do i think thats a problem the trend that im seeing is that people in guilds are not really talking to each other or doing things together as much with this system. people log on at different times want to do different things at different times and when they are so focused on doing these solo progression type activities it does affect social aspects thats just an opinion. Yet there are always clicks in guilds that will do things with each other regardless i am guilty of that. It would be nice if there was a way that the game could involve everyone although not realistic it still would be nice.

oh i didnt mean to say gear was mandatory im one like alot of people who are just compelled to maximize my character and think the system sucks i am fully aware that its not needed but other people do it right and that takes away time to do other things.

They're completely optional.

Blizzard did right by making them optional.

You could very well be correct...i have toons in two guilds and different servers and its somewhat the same..ive talked to friends and they have similar stories but no i wont argue with you on your point.

Because when content is thrown at the face of the public they assume they HAVE to do it.

We were stuck on the first 4 bosses in MV for a while and eventually went 6/6 just by using Raid Gear.

I don't see the problem with dailies really... They are very much planning to add more stuff over the course of the expansion, and it feels more like an actual achievement to be exalted now, not in cata when you could just get a tabard and run dungeons.

Maybe they should allow tabards, but make it so wearing one in an instance, you gain rep from boss kills instead of JP/loot. So players can still use tabards, but they cannot "double-dip", gaining instance loot and Rep from Heroics. They choose one or the other.

i really don't think that's a good idea don't take the loot but take the points both jp and vp, but let the loot stay

for some ppl the loot form heroics are worthless the vp is what they do it for, so make them chose between rep and vp and those that need the lot get that but get no points

It was even more of achievement in Cataclysm to get those reps to exalted by running dailies, especially the cat-people rep in Uldum. Which I did, since I didn't like the heroic 5 mans.

But I don't see the reps as the problem with MoP. Raid and general reward design were the problems.
