    After haste cap?

Sup guys, I've had my haste cap for a long time (8085) had two Int trinkets before, now i just picked up 502 Light of cosmos from elegon HC which brings me to 9252 haste. And 800 less Int -

What is worth doing now? reforging my haste away to mastery/crit to get 8085 haste again? -

Any response i'll be very thankful! cheers

    crit is better after haste

Stay the course with Haste even after the 8085 breakpoint. It is a close second to crit in single-target encounters (VERY close) and wins by a large margin any time you have adds or a second target to DoT up.

Also, haste breakpoint != haste cap. The only haste cap that exists is the GCD Haste Cap which we are no where close to at this point.

    Cheers for the reponses!

top priests are not agreeing with you. Some are jemming pure int after they reach haste break point, and reforging into crit.

Not entirely doubting you, but, I'd take a bit more stock in what you say if you'd link to examples.

Koilie from Vodka is a good example:

#1 on Elegon heroic (with an impressive 222k dps, beating his own #1 206k parse just tonight actually with the closest second at 204k.)
#1 on Spirit kings heroic (at 103k dps, closest second 99k)
    #1 on Feng heroic
#1 on Vizier Zorlok heroic (89k with second place at 84k)
    #1 on Alizabal normal

    etc.

Seems like crit is definitely the way to go atm, after you reach the haste cap.

are you saying to continue stacking haste past 8085? I'm currently struggling to keep my haste low enough (at 8085, i know right?) but simcraft just isn't giving me consistent numbers when I start playing around with things (movement / multitarget etc), feeling really quite unsure what to do. I 'believe' I'll be pushing 10k haste if I didn't reforge out of any, yet to try it though. Where to put those stats is just confusing me right now, logically thinking about what the stats do I really can't decide what would be most beneficial. Not being able to import my toon to simcraft isn't helping

Except he's not going crit>haste after the breakpoint. He's also the best geared priest in the us and 2nd in the world. And with how much of a dps increase gear is now...yeah... and most guilds hide their logs right now.

There is only one item (belt) that he could reforge to Haste instead of Crit, every other item that can be reforged to Haste is. For gemming, there aren't enough sockets to determine that that is his strategy (you can swap the orange in leg with the prismatic belt which has a red and it wouldn't matter).

As I said before, Crit can be better than Haste depending on the situation and fight type. Koilie's profile isn't really confirming or denying either argument, plus, he (like other very toop guilds) may be playing with their gear and reforging for specific encounters.

Again, I'm not doubting that it is possible depending on the fight, but one (very inconclusive) profile when you look at the details doesn't tell us much.

Well, Koilie is streaming on twitch and talking with his viewers, and it's not more than 2 hours ago where he explained specifically in his stream that this is what he was doing. He reforges to haste cap, and then goes crit afterwards. He also does his reforge manually because he gets more satisfaction out of that, rather than using an addon, which is why his reforge may not be perfect.

The reforge strategy came out of his own mouth.

iLevel is much more important than the difference between secondary stats.

Saying someone is getting #1 parses because of a gearing strategy is meaningless when he outgears everyone else.

Please stop calling it a haste cap. A cap is not the same thing as a breakpoint; A cap would imply that the value of the stat drops severely after it's reached. That's not the case with a breakpoint.

As far as priority, I'm going to stick with my opinion of going crit. I also feel like you would do well after 8085 no matter what stat you choose to go with...I don't believe there will be a "go to" stat choice that works for everyone. Sim yourself. yup, each single piece of gear is such a large dps increase that we really wont know until many people have bis or at least very close to it. Like I say all the time, you will see a much larger dps increase focusing on your game play compared to OMG AM I REFORGED RIGHT? And like said in multiple earlier posts, crit >=haste on single target fights, so for the like 2 or 3 that we have out of 16, it is just better to stay haste>crit right now.
